WWE is considering a concept for “another draft type of thing to build permanent Raw and Smackdown rosters,” according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The idea is being kept quiet right now and WWE will consult with USA and FOX when the concept is decided.
Last month, the Observer reported that stricter, more defined rosters will come into place when SmackDown moves to FOX in October. Dave Meltzer says that he was originally told last month that the rosters will mostly stay as they are with a few minor changes, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Vince McMahon has changed his mind and will decide to make more major changes.
It was also reported last month that there still may be some minor crossover in October, but it won’t be nearly as muddled as it is now.
