Steve Austin Files Several New Trademarks

Steve Austin recently filed several new trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office for “Steve Austin”, “King of Professional Wrestling”, and “Queen of Attitude” on September 11th by Austin’s company, SCK Steve Austin, Inc., for merchandise-related purposes.

Bushiroad Releases Fiscal Year Report Revealing NJPW Earnings

New Japan Pro Wrestling’s parent company Bushiroad recently released their fiscal report revealing that NJPW generated around $50 million in gross revenues for the fiscal year (August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019), the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported.

Gross revenues were up 10.8% compared to the last fiscal year, which was the highest amount in company history. The overall paid attendance for the fiscal year was around 436,000 and was up for the sixth consecutive year.

New Japan World subscriptions were reported to be over 100,000 although no exact number was given in Bushiroad’s fiscal report.


NJPW Announces Several Changes to Card of Their Destruction in Kobe 2019 Event

NJPW recently announced that several changes have been made to the card of their Destruction in Kobe 2019 event this Sunday in Kobe, Japan. The previously announced tag team matches have been changed to the following:

  • Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH), Will Ospreay, YOSHI-HASHI, & Tomohiro Ishii vs. El Phantasmo, Taiji Ishimori, Guerrillas of Destiny (Tanga Loa & Tama Tonga), & KENTA
  • Rocky Romero, Tiger Mask, Hiroshi Tanahashi, & Jushin Thunder Liger vs. DOUKI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Zack Sabre Jr., & Minoru Suzuki

Major League Wrestling announced that they have recently signed Dominic Garrini to a multi-year contract with the company.

Revolution Pro Wrestling announced that this year’s British J-Cup tournament will be taking place on November 24th in London, England. Robbie Eagles was announced as the first official entrant for the upcoming tournament.

Arn Anderson announced that the debut episode of his podcast show, The Arn Show, will be released on September 24.

Impact Wrestling officials reportedly were at this past Tuesday’s Women of Wrestling television tapings in Los Angeles, California, according to PWInsider. Mike Johnson reported that Ed Nordholm was seen in attendance during the tapings while Scott D’Amore was seen in the production truck.

Billy Corgan recently revealed a special logo for the National Wrestling Alliance’s upcoming tapings in Atlanta, Georgia for their new television series.
