AEW won the first night of the Wednesday night wars by a convincing margin.
AEW Dynamite drew 1,409,000 viewers on TNT while NXT drew 891,000 viewers on USA.
AEW was #2 on the day in the 18-49 demographic with 0.68 rating, while NXT was #10 with a 0.32 rating.
Trends on Twitter and Google were also heavily in AEW’s favor last night. With all of the hype for AEW’s debut, it’s not surprising that it won this week. It’ll be interesting to see where things land next week.
