Colt Cabana reportedly has left Ring of Honor following the company’s Final Battle 2019 event this past Friday in Baltimore, Maryland, according to Post Wrestling.
John Pollock reported that Cabana’s deal with with ROH was not an official contract but instead a handshake deal. Pollock also reported that Cabana had informed company officials this past September of his decision to leave the company following their final major event of the year.
It was also reported that ROH did offer Cabana a new deal to entice him to stay but he turned it down.
Prior to his departure, Cabana had been primarily used as a commentator alongside Ian Riccaboni.
Cabana’s final match for the company took place at this past Friday’s Final Battle 2019 event where he faced off and lost to Alex Shelly in a singles match. Cabana previously worked for ROH from 2002 to 2007 and 2009 to 2011.
