AEW announced yesterday that Taz will be “making a guest appearance” at Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite in Jacksonville.
According to Dave Meltzer, Taz will be doing commentary on the show. The Georgia Bulldogs football team will be playing a game on January 1 and Tony Schiavone is doing radio commentary for that game, so he likely won’t be on Dynamite on Wednesday.
There was also a rumor going around today that AEW was considering Taz for an authority figure role on TV, but Dave Meltzer shot that down.
Since so much has been speculated on, Taz is on Dynamite 1/1 as an announcer and AEW has no plans for a television authority figure.
