Welcome to TPWW’s Emperor Smeat’s Match and Show Ratings for the week of December 22 to December 28.

Match and show star ratings (out of 5):
WWE
WWE RAW (Dec. 23)
* Street Fight – Kevin Owens vs. Mojo Rawley – 2.5
* Bobby Lashley vs. Cedric Alexander – 2.0
* Zack Ryder vs. Drew McIntyre – 1.5 (Squash)
* Aleister Black vs. Deonn Rusman – 1.0 (Squash)
* Buddy Murphy vs. Joeasa – 1.0 (Squash)
* Tony Nese vs. Ricochet – 2.0
* Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green – 2.5
* Orton & The Viking Raiders vs. The O.C. – 3.0
* Erick Rowan vs. Travis Horn – 1.5 (Squash)
* Rusev vs. No Way Jose – 1.0 (Squash)
* United States Championship – Seth Rollins vs. Rey Mysterio (c) – 2.5
Overall – 2.5
Best – All of the 24/7 title segments. Worst – Lana’s promo spot during the Lashley vs. Cedric match.
Show Notes – Lana continues to be the worst thing about RAW these past few months and not even in a good heel way. The 24/7 title segments were the best stuff from the first half of RAW. Charlotte vs. Green was good overall but seems a bit dumb to have been very competitive unless Green is getting called up soon. Six-man tag match was pretty good overall. Rusev’s antics have been the only good stuff about the on-going Lana infidelity storyline. Main event was good overall but RAW itself was average at best tonight.

NXT (Dec. 25)
* NXT North American Championship Open Challenge – Austin Theory vs. Roderick Strong (c) – 3.0
* Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher – 2.5
* Candice LeRae vs. Tanyara Conti – 2.5
* Dominik Dijakovic vs. Bronson Reed – 3.0
* Shotzi Blackheart vs. Bianca Belair – 2.5
* Damian Priest & Tony Nese vs. Lio Rush & Keith Lee – 3.0
Overall – 3.0
Best – Priest & Nese vs. Rush & Lee match. Worst – Scott vs. Gallagher match
Show Notes – N.A. title match was good although arguably the weakest opener to NXT since the move to USA Network. Arturo Ruas vignette was very good. Reed vs. Dijakovic was a good hoss style match. Main event tag match was good overall. NXT was mostly average to above average but still enjoyable overall.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown (Dec. 27)
* New Day & Braun Strowman vs. Cesaro, Sami Zayn, & Shinsuke Nakamura – 3.5
* Carmella vs. Mandy Rose – 1.0
* #1 Contender for Universal Championship – Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz – No Rating
* Lacey Evans & Dana Brooke vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley – 2.5
* #1 Contender for Universal Championship – Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz vs. King Corbin – 3.0
Overall – 2.5
Best – New Day & Braun Strowman vs. Cesaro, Zayn, & Nakamura match. Worst – The booking of the #1 Contender’s match throughout the show.
Show Notes – Corbin’s constant promo segments to start off shows have just been big wastes of time. Six-man tag team match was very good overall. Moment of Bliss segment was dull. Ali’s vignette was great. #1 Contender’s match was good but also an overbooked mess in the end. SmackDown itself was average at best.

AEW
AEW Dark (Dec. 24)
* Sammy Guevara vs. Brandon Cutler – 2.5
* The Hybrid 2 vs. Private Party vs. Best Friends vs. Santana & Ortiz – 3.5
* Shawn Spears vs. Joey Janela – 3.0
Overall – 3.0
Best – Four-way tag team match. Worst – Shawn Spears’ pre-match promo.
Show Notes – Guevara vs. Cutler match was pretty good overall. Orange Cassidy’s spot during the 4-way tag match was funny. Four-way tag team match started off slow but got better the longer it went on. Spears vs. Janela match was decent but also enjoyable because of the comedy antics involved. AEW Dark was entertaining overall.
