Tom Phillips will be replacing Vic Joseph on the Raw commentary team going forward, according to a report by WrestleVotes.
Phillips was the Raw play by play man tonight at the Royal Rumble alongside Jerry Lawler. Vic Joseph was not part of the Royal Rumble at all.
Joseph is still with WWE and this decision was made some time within the past week, PWInsider added.
In October, Phillips was replaced by Joseph as a main roster play by play man. Since then, he’s been doing play by play for 205 Live and NXT UK, which were Joseph’s old jobs.
This would mean that two of Raw’s new commentators that started in October, Vic Joseph and Dio Maddin, were removed from their roles after just a few months (or weeks in the case of Maddin).
