Kickoff Show
Shorty G vs. Sheamus

Sheamus controlled most of the match early on until Gable started to make a comeback. In the end, Gable tried a surprise crucifix pin, but Sheamus kicked out, bounced off of the ropes and nailed him with a Brogue Kick to put him away. Pretty average match. The story was that Sheamus underestimated Gable, but Sheamus was still too strong in the end.

Winner: Sheamus (12:35)


Kickoff Show – United States Championship
Andrade (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo

In the end, Carrillo tried a hurricanrana into a sitting pinfall, but Andrade rolled through and picked up the win. The match was OK and not nearly as good as previous matches that they’ve had.

Winner: Andrade (14:20)


Falls Count Anywhere Match
Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin

This match felt like it was never going to end. They basically slowly brawled around the arena for several minutes. Feels like this is the type of match that is going to leave the crowd exhausted for the rest of the night.

Reigns hit Corbin with a couple of Samoan drops through two of the international announce tables.

Eventually, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler attacked Reigns deep into the arena and tried to handcuff him to some stair railing, but the Usos ran out for the save.

After several more minutes of brawling, Reigns tossed Corbin inside of a porta potty, then tipped it over with Corbin inside. Corbin was clean when he came out though.

They fought on top of the dugout of Minute Maid Park (a baseball stadium) and Reigns hit Corbin with a superman punch, then a spear. 1-2-3. Not good.

Winner: Roman Reigns (21:20)


Backstage: Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe

Backstage, Joe told Owens that if he gets in his way in the Royal Rumble match tonight, he’s going to have to run through him.


Backstage: Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville

Sonya said that if it comes down to her and Mandy in the Rumble match, she will not throw Mandy over the top and will throw herself over to let Mandy win. That’s how much she cares about her partner. Sonya walked away as Mandy looked surprised.


Michael Cole said that WWE sends their condolences to Kobe Bryant’s family and friends. Kobe, his daughter and seven others tragically died in a helicopter crash today.


Women’s Royal Rumble Match

#1: Alexa Bliss

#2: Bianca Belair

#3: Molly Holly – Molly Holly came out as Mighty Molly. She hit a top rope dive on both Bliss and Belair.

#4: Nikki Cross – Nikki and Alexa hugged in the middle of the ring, but Belair hit the KOD on Nikki on top of Alexa.

#5: Lana – Lana got on the mic as she walked down the aisle and said to welcome the greatest WWE superstar in the world. She said that she was better than all of the pathetic losers in the crowd and she was going to win the Royal Rumble for her hot husband, Bobby Lashley.

#6: Mercedes Martinez

#7: Liv Morgan – Liv immediately went after Lana, who had been thrown over the top and was on the apron. She knocked her off of the apron, eliminating her. Lana was eliminated by Liv Morgan. Liv was thrown over the top by someone and landed on the apron. She went to the top rope, but Lana grabbed her leg from the outside and pulled her down, eliminating her. Liv Morgan was eliminated by Lana.

#8: Mandy Rose – Mandy battled with Nikki Cross.

#9: Candice LeRae – Candice hit a top rope dropkick on Mercedez, then a springboard moonsault on Nikki. Bianca Belair tossed Molly Holly over the top. Molly Holly was eliminated by Bianca Belair. Alexa Bliss tossed Mandy Rose over the top, but she landed on Otis, who was lying down at ringside! Mandy’s feet never touched the floor. She stood up on Otis’s stomach and climbed back into the ring.

#10: Sonya Deville – She and Mandy tossed Martinez over the top. Mercedes Martinez was eliminated by Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

#11: Kairi Sane – Kairi hit an Insane Elbow on LeRae.

#12: Mia Yim – She hit Eat Defeet on Nikki. Belair gorilla pressed Bliss, but Nikki saved her. Belair tossed Nikki over the top onto the apron, then picked up Alexa and swung her, knocking her into Nikki and knocking Nikki out of the match. Nikki Cross was eliminated by Bianca Belair. Sonya Deville accidentally hit Mandy Rose, knocking her off of the apron but into the arms of Otis, who saved her again. But Bianca Belair knocked Sonya out of the ring, onto Mandy and Otis, knocking both members of Fire and Desire out. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were eliminated by Bianca Belair.

#13: Dana Brooke – Brooke hit a flurry of offense on the women in the ring. Belair gorilla pressed Candice LeRae and tossed her over the top. Candice LeRae was eliminated by Bianca Belair. Kairi went to the top, but Alexa knocked her out of the ring. Kairi Sane was eliminated by Alexa Bliss.

#14: Tamina – Tamina and Belair faced off. Tamina ran at Bianca, but Belair ducked and Tamina was out. Tamina was eliminated by Bianca Belair. They said that Belair has broken the record for most women’s Royal Rumble eliminations with six.

#15: Dakota Kai – Mia Yim was knocked out by Bliss. Mia Yim was eliminated by Alexa Bliss.

#16: Chelsea Green – Chelsea tossed out Dakota Kai. Dakota Kai was eliminated by Chelsea Green. Chelsea taunted, but was tossed out by Alexa Bliss. Chelsea Green was eliminated by Alexa Bliss. Dana Brooke fought with Bliss and landed on the apron, and Bianca Belair shoulder blocked her out. Dana Brooke was eliminated by Bianca Belair. Only Bliss and Belair were left in the ring, numbers 1 and 2. Bliss went for Twisted Bliss, but missed. Bianca tried to throw her out, but Alexa held on and they landed on the apron. Alexa grabbed Belair’s ponytail, but Belair swung her into the ring post, knocking Alexa out. Alexa Bliss was eliminated by Bianca Belair. Only Belair was left in the ring.

#17: Charlotte Flair

#18: Naomi – Naomi was back after months. Naomi and Charlotte formed an alliance and went after Belair, but Charlotte then started chopping Naomi.

#19: Beth Phoenix

#20: Toni Storm – Bianca Belair went to the top rope, but Charlotte kicked her out. Bianca Belair was eliminated by Charlotte Flair.

#21: Kelly Kelly – She knocked Toni Storm into the corner and rubbed her ass in Storm’s face.

#22: Sarah Logan – Charlotte Flair booted Logan off of the apron and knocked her out. Sarah Logan was eliminated by Charlotte Flair. Kelly Kelly was then knocked out by Charlotte. Kelly Kelly was eliminated by Charlotte Flair.

#23: Natalya – Natalya and Beth Phoenix teamed up against Charlotte. Phoenix looked like she was bleeding pretty badly from the back of her head, with blood all over her hair.

#24: Xia Li

#25: Zelina Vega

#26: Shotzi Blackheart – Natalya knocked Naomi off of the apron, but she jumped onto the side of the crowd barricade, with her feet not hitting the floor. Naomi jumped onto an announce table and stood there.

#27: Carmella

#28: Tegan Nox – Beth Phoenix still has blood pouring out of the back of her head. Brutal looking. Her hair was covered in blood.

#29: Santina Marella – Santino Marella, dressed in drag as Santina Marella, was next. He faced off with Beth Phoenix, but Natalya came up from behind and they surrounded him. He put on the cobra on his arm, but poked himself and jumped out of the ring. Santina Marella eliminated himself.

#30: Shayna Baszler – She tossed out Xia. Xia Li was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Tegan Nox was then tossed out by Baszler. Tegan Nox was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Kirifuda Clutch on Zelina, and Zelina was knocked out. Zelina Vega was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Shotzi Blackheart tried to toss Shayna out, but Baszler tossed her out. Shotzi Blackheart was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Carmella was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Toni Storm was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Naomi took off the top of the announce table and formed a bridge to the ring, then ran over it and back into the match. She went for the rear view on Baszler, but Shayna tossed her out. Naomi was eliminated by Shayna Baszler.

Baszler, Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Charlotte Flair were the final four. Beth and Natlya attacked Baszler… then Beth Phoenix grabbed Natalya and tossed her out of the ring! Natalya was eliminated by Beth Phoenix. Charlotte Flair ran into the ring… she had been hiding outside for a few minutes. Flair faced off with Shayna, but Phoenix tried to toss her out… but Charlotte landed on the apron. Shayna tossed out Beth Phoenix. Beth Phoenix was eliminated by Shayna Baszler.

Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler were the final two. Shayna tried to toss out Charlotte, but Charlotte grabbed her with her legs and gave her a hurricanrana out of the ring. Shayna Baszler was eliminated by Charlotte Flair. Charlotte wins and is going to WrestleMania.

Winner: Charlotte Flair (54:20)

Charlotte was interviewed in the ring after the match. She cut a heel promo and said that whether the crowd wanted her to win or lose, she reminded everyone that this is her division.


Backstage: King Corbin

Corbin said that Reigns made a mockery of their match because he had to have his Uso henchmen get involved. He said that he’s going to toss Roman over the top in the Royal Rumble match and go on to WrestleMania.


SmackDown Women’s Championship
Bayley (c) vs. Lacey Evans

Lacey’s daughter and husband were shown at ringside. The crowd was mostly pretty dead for this one. A few minutes in, Bayley went for a Bayley to Belly, but Lacey blocked and hit a standing moonsault. She went for a top rope springboard moonsault, but Bayley got her feet up and hit Lacey in the stomach as she landed. Roll up by Bayley with a handful of tights… 1-2-3. Not a good match.

Winner: Bayley (9:20)


Universal Championship – Strap Match
“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan

A thirteen foot strap was attached to the wrists of Wyatt and Bryan.

No red lighting in this match.

Wyatt whipped Bryan with the strap for a few minutes to start the match, leaving red marks on Bryan’s back. A few minutes in, Wyatt went for Sister Abigail, but Bryan fought out and hit Wyatt with a running knee.

Wyatt brought Bryan to the top of the announce table, but Bryan kicked him in the balls a few times and hit him with a DDT on the table. In the ring, Wyatt hit him with Yes Kicks and whipped him with the strap repeatedly, then stomped on Wyatt’s face.

The crowd chanted “Yes”… Bryan ran at Wyatt, but Wyatt hit him with Sister Abigail out of nowhere for a near fall. Wyatt locked on the mandible claw… but Bryan fought out and locked on the LeBell Lock with the strap around Wyatt’s face! But Wyatt fought out, mounted Bryan and punched him in the head repeatedly.

He went for Sister Abigail, but Bryan escaped and hit a running knee for a near fall. Bryan Hulked up but Wyatt stood to his feet and laughed. Bryan whipped him in the face with the strap three times but Wyatt no sold it.

Mandible Claw by Wyatt, then he picked up Bryan and planted him down, still with the Mandible Claw locked in. 1-2-3. This was easily the best Fiend match so far.

Winner: Bray Wyatt (17:35)

The lights went out after the match and when they came back on, Wyatt “disappeared” as officials came down to check on Bryan and help him out of the ring.


Raw Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Asuka

Kairi Sane was at ringside with Asuka. The first few minutes of this match were insanely slow and the crowd seemed almost silent.

A few minutes in, Asuka went for the Asuka Lock, but Becky fought out and tried to lock on the Dis-Arm-Her, but Asuka fought out.

Asuka tossed Becky into the corner, almost hitting the ref. The ref cowered in the corner, and Asuka tried to spit green mist in Becky’s face, but Becky kicked her in the stomach and she pit it up into the air. Dis-Arm-Her by Becky, and Asuka tapped. Kind of a boring match… The crowd was super quiet for 90% of it.

Winner: Becky Lynch (16:25)

Asuka was left with her own green mist all over her face.


Backstage: The Street Profits

The Street Profits ran down the show so far and hyped up the Royal Rumble match.


Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Booker T was on guest commentary alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

Cole and Graves said that Rusev and Bobby Lashley won’t be competing in the match tonight because they got into a huge brawl in the parking lot and neither are cleared to compete.

#1: Brock Lesnar

#2: Elias – Elias walked out with his guitar and called Lesnar a braindead gorilla and Heyman his fat zookeeper. He sang a song. “The sacrificial lamb is heading to the ring, but before I do, I got one more song to sing. Brock Lesnar’s pacing, he’s ready to attack. Heyman keep your damn mouth shut or I’ll smash a guitar on your back.” Lesnar ran out of the ring and after Elias. German Suplex in the ring. Lesnar smashed Elias’s guitar on his back and tossed him out. Elias was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

#3: Erick Rowan – Rowan came out holding his cage. Lesnar clotheslined him out of the ring in eight seconds. Erick Rowan was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

#4: Robert Roode – Lesnar immediately hit Roode with an F5 and tossed him out. Robert Roode was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar rules…

#5: John Morrison – Overhead belly to belly suplex sent Morrison out of the ring in under 10 seconds. John Morrison was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

#6: Kofi Kingston – Kofi charged at Brock and hit him with a flurry of punches. The crowd was pumped and chanted for Kofi. German suplex by Brock quieted the crowd. Brock smiled.

#7: Rey Mysterio – German suplex by Lesnar on Rey.

#8: Big E – Trouble in Paradise by Kofi on Brock. Big Ending by Big E on Lesnar! 619 from Rey! Mysterio ran at Lesnar but Lesnar tossed him out! Rey Mysterio was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Clothesline by Lesnar knocked Big E over the top. Big E was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. F5 by Lesnar on Kofi over the top rope. Kofi Kingston was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was left alone in the ring again.

#9: Cesaro – Clothesline by Lesnar and Cesaro was out. Cesaro was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar grabbed his WWE Championship and raised it in celebration.

#10: Shelton Benjamin – Shelton hugged Paul Heyman and Heyman said that he was so happy to see him and now he can reunite with his former college teammate Brock Lesnar. Benjamin hugged Lesnar… then Lesnar German suplexed him and clotheslined him out. Shelton Benjamin was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

#11: Shinsuke Nakamura – Nakamura hit Lesnar with a couple of kicks and knocked Lesnar down, then went for a Kinshasa but Lesnar picked him up and tossed him out. Shinsuke Nakamura was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. That’s 10 eliminations. The record is 13 by Braun Strowman.

#12: MVP – Lesnar danced to MVP’s theme. MVP chased Heyman around the ring, but Lesnar grabbed him. F5 by Lesnar and he tossed him out. MVP was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

#13: Keith Lee – Keith Lee came out to a big pop and a “bask in his glory” chant. They faced off and Lee shoulder blocked Lesnar down. They ran at each other and took each other down with a double clothesline.

#14: Braun Strowman – Strowman went after Lesnar and Lee, mowing them down. He went for a running powerslam but Lesnar hit him with a German suplex. German suplex on Keith Lee, and another on Strowman, and one more for Lee. Lee and Strowman both struggled to their feet, faced off with each other and started punching at each other… and Lesnar came up from behind and tossed them both out! Keith Lee was eliminated by Brock Lesnar. Braun Strowman was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

#15: Ricochet – Ricochet springboarded off the top but was caught by Lesnar, who hit him with a backbreaker. German suplex. Brock was pouring sweat.

#16: Drew McIntyre – McIntyre faced off with Lesnar. Lesnar took off his MMA gloves. Ricochet suddenly kicked him in the balls from behind! Claymore Kick by McIntyre knocked Lesnar out of the ring! Brock Lesnar was eliminated by Drew McIntyre. Lesnar eliminated 13 men, tying Strowman’s record. McIntyre picked up Ricochet and tossed him out too! Ricochet was eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

#17: The Miz – Claymore by McIntyre and Miz is out. The Miz was eliminated by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre stared down Brock Lesnar, who was still at ringside.

#18: AJ Styles – Styles tried to lock on the Calf Crusher, but McIntyre fought out.

#19: Dolph Ziggler

#20: Karl Anderson

#21: Edge – Edge is back… Big pop. Pyro for his entrance. Spear on Ziggler and on Anderson, and one for McIntyre. He faced off with Styles… and hit him with a spear too!

#22: King Corbin – Edge tossed Styles over the top and he tried to grab onto the ropes, but he was out. AJ Styles was eliminated by Edge.

#23: Matt Riddle – Riddle was eliminated by Corbin in a few seconds… Fuck… Sigh… Matt Riddle was eliminated by King Corbin.

#24: Luke Gallows – Gallows was out, using up one of the unannounced slots along with Anderson… Sigh… McIntyre tossed Corbin over the top. King Corbin was eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

#25: Randy Orton – RKO on Gallows, and an RKO on Anderson. Edge clotheslined Gallows out of the ring and Orton clotheslined Anderson out. Luke Gallows was eliminated by Edge. Karl Anderson was eliminated by Randy Orton.

#26: Roman Reigns – Spear by Ziggler and he was tossed out by Reigns. Dolph Ziggler was eliminated by Roman Reigns.

#27: Kevin Owens – Pop up powerbomb on McIntyre and a Stunner on Reigns. Orton went for an RKO, but Owens hit him with a Stunner.

#28: Aleister Black – McIntyre went for a Claymore, but Black nailed him with a Black Mass.

#29: Samoa Joe – Joe and Owens faced off, then went after each other.

#30: Seth Rollins – Buddy Murphy and AOP came out alongside Rollins. Joe and Owens ran at them on the ramp. Rollins and Murphy pulled Edge under the ropes and tossed him into the barricade. AOP dragged Orton and tossed him into the announce table. Stomp by Rollins on McIntyre. And a Stomp on Reigns. Black tried a springboard off the middle rope, but Murphy knocked him down. Rollins then tossed Black out. Aleister Black was eliminated by Seth Rollins.

Stunner by Owens and he tossed Rollins out, but AOP caught him! Owens went to attack AOP, but Rollins tossed him out. Kevin Owens was eliminated by Seth Rollins.

Samoa Joe then got into it with Murphy and Rollins came up from behind and tossed him out. Samoa Joe was eliminated by Seth Rollins. AOP and Murphy brawled with Owens, Joe and Black and fought down the ramp.

Rollins, Edge, McIntyre, Reigns and Orton were the final five. Rollins was surrounded in the ring. Superman punch by Reigns on Rollins. Powerslam by Orton. Claymore by McIntyre and McIntyre tossed him out. Seth Rollins was eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

Reigns, McIntyre, Edge and Orton were the final four. Former partners Edge and Orton allied with each other and went after McIntyre and Reigns. RKO by Orton on McIntyre. Spear by Edge on McIntyre. And a double RKO by Orton and Edge on McIntyre. Orton snuck up from behind like he was going to RKO Edge, but Edge saw him… Orton paused and shrugged his shoulders. And suddenly Edge tossed Orton out! Randy Orton was eliminated by Edge.

Edge, Reigns and McIntyre were the final three. Superman punch by Reigns on Edge. He set him up for the spear as the crowd booed… but Edge leaped over him and hit him with a spear of his own. He tossed Reigns over the top but Reigns landed on the apron. Roman dragged Edge over the top and they both fought on the apron… and Reigns eliminated Edge. Edge was eliminated by Roman Reigns.

Reigns and McIntyre were the final two. Roman ran at McIntyre but was hit with a Claymore! And McIntyre tossed him out! Roman Reigns was eliminated by Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre is going to WrestleMania, probably to take on Brock Lesnar.

Winner: Drew McIntyre (1:00:50)

McIntyre pointed at the WrestleMania sign as pyro was set off and the show came to an end.
