Major League Wrestling has had talks with Amazon in recent weeks to air MLW programming on the Amazon Prime streaming service, according to PWInsider.
It’s been reported in the past couple of months that MLW has had several talks with networks to potentially air its weekly show, which currently airs on beIN Sports and YouTube. MLW’s agreement with beIN allows it to search out for other possible networks.
PWInsider noted that there is a potential writers strike looming, so Amazon and other networks are looking for content in case that happens. MLW would not be affected by a Writer’s Guild of America strike, since it’s non-union.
MLW is still meeting with other possible outlets, with one source telling PWInsider that there is “momentum in a few directions with major players.” Earlier this month, it was reported that Showtime has expressed interest in MLW.
