In-Ring: Goldberg, Roman Reigns

The new WWE Universal champion Goldberg comes down to the ring to what appears to be a bit of a mixed reaction at first. He gets in the ring posing with the belt and stares at the crowd. He grabs the microphone and says “Ladies and gentlemen” as some jeers are heard from the crowd. Goldberg adds “Do not be mistaken, it’s not about who was last. It’s all about who’s next?” Goldberg drops the microphone and looks at the stage as Roman Reigns’ music hits.

Roman walks down the stage all the while looking at Goldberg who is standing in the middle of the ring. He finally gets in the ring as the two go face to face. Some fans chanting “You both suck”. Roman says “I’m next” and drops the microphone. His music plays again as he leaves the ring.

We see a clip of John Cena’s early days from 2002 when he made his debut.


Bayley vs. Naomi

The bell rings and we are under way. Bayley asks for a microphone. She says that it’s ridiculous, she should not have to be here and especially in front of these little idiots. She says she made history when she beat Naomi but she is here for one reason and one reason only. She introduces someone better than Beyonce, better than Cardi B… Sasha Banks!

Sasha’s music hits as the hometown girl wearing her ring gear walks down. With Naomi distracted, Bayley attacks her from behind. She stomps on Naomi. She sends Naomi to the ropes but a dropkick by Naomi. She hits Bayley with the rear view. She goes for the cover but Sasha Banks breaks it up as the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Naomi via Disqualification.

Bayley and Sasha Banks start double teaming Naomi as Lacey Evans’ music hits. Out she comes and they go after Lacey. Naomi gets into the fight as all four women fight in the ring.

The referee confirms that we will have a tag team match.


Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Naomi & Lacey Evans

The bell rings and a double dropkick by Naomi and Evans takes Sasha and Bayley to the outside. They both jump over the top rope landing on the women’s champion and the returning Sasha.

Back from commercial, Sasha is in the ring with Naomi and slams her into the mat. She tags Bayley into the match. They double team Naomi as Bayley goes for the cover but Naomi kicks out. Right hands by Bayley while she chokes her on the second rope. She goes for the cover but again Naomi kicks out. An arm bar by Bayley as she slams Naomi into the corner.

Sasha is tagged in and they double team Naomi. Double knees by Sasha. She goes for the cover but Naomi kicks out. Naomi starts fighting back and a heel kick takes Sasha down. Naomi tries to make the tag but a drop kick by Sasha. She goes for the cover and again Naomi kicks out. Bayley is tagged back in. Another double team takes Naomi out. Bayley with the cover as Naomi kicks out.

Banks is tagged back in. She kicks Lacey off the ring apron. Sasha sends Naomi to the corner but she knocks Bayley off the ring apron. A jaw breaker by Naomi onto Sasha. Both women get back up and an inzighuri by Naomi as Evans and Bayley are tagged.

Lacey with a clothesline takes Bayley out. A kick to the stomach. Lacey gets on the ring apron and knocks Sasha down. Lacey with an elbow drop onto Bayley. With Bayley in the corner, Lacey with the double knees as Naomi is tagged in. Naomi goes for the cover but Banks breaks it up. Evans gets involved but she’s thrown to the outside./ Sasha with the Back Stabber onto Naomi.

Evans drags Sasha out of the ring and the two start fighting. A knee to the face by Naomi onto Bayley. Naomi with the sunset flip and gets the pin.

Winner: Naomi & Lacey Evans via Pinfall.


Backstage: New Day

The New Day are walking backstage as they run into Josh McDaniels of the New England Patriots. They run into Ziggler and Roode.

Robert Roode vs. Kofi Kingston

The bell rings and we are under way. A shoulder block by Roode. He goes for the cover but Kofi kicks out. A headlock by Roode turned into an arm bar. Kofi with a reversal as he’s sent to the ropes. A flying shoulder by Kofi. He goes for the cover but Roode kicks out.

A kick to the stomach by Roode followed by a right hand. A chop to the chest by Roode. He sends Kofi to the corner but a drop kick by Kofi. He goes for the cover but Roode kicks out. Kofi with an arm bar but Roode reaches the ropes. A back elbow by Roode as he elbows Kofi on the back of the neck.

A right hand by Kofi and a spinning back elbow by Kofi as Roode rolls to the outside of the ring. Big E shouts and cheers Kofi on. Ziggler gets on the ring apron and distracts the referee. Roode kicks the ring steps and pretends to be hurt. The referee turns to Big E thinking that he had attacked Roode. The referee ejects Big E from the ring.

Robert Roode with a headlock in the middle of the ring. Kofi gets back to his feet and he fights back as we see Mandy Rose watching the match backstage.

Roode takes Kofi back down. He sends Kofi to the corner as Kofi lands on the second rope and hits him with a drop kick. Roode rolls onto the ring apron. He drops Kofi throat first onto the top rope. Roode goes for the cover but Kofi kicks out. Roode goes for a suplex but Kofi blocks it with a right hand. However Roode with a right hand of his own and he lands the suplex.

Roode gets on the second rope and mocks The New Day by doing their clap. He jumps but Kofi moves out of the way as Roode lands knee first onto the mat. Kofi on the ring apron jumps off the top rope and brings Roode down. Right hands by Kofi followed by a drop kick. Kofi is back in the match.

Kofi with the boom drop. Kofi goes Trouble in Paradise, Roode ducks, Kofi runs to the second rope and a cross body onto Roode. He goes for the cover but Roode kicks out. Kofi goes for SOS but Roode blocks it and a full Nelson slam onto Kofi. Roode goes for the cover but Kofi kicks out.

Roode places Kofi on the top rope as he goes for a suplex but Kofi with right hands a headbutt knocks Roode down. The former WWE champion jumps off the top rope, Roode ducks and he lands a spine buster onto Kofi. Roode again goes for the cover but once more Kofi kicks out. Roode goes for the DDT but Kofi blocks it and couinters it into the SOS. He goes for the cover but Ziggler puts Roode’s leg on the bottom rope. As the referee is counting, Ziggler getse the referee’s attention as the cover is broken.

With Kofi distracted, Robert Roode goes for a quick cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Robert Roode via Pinfall.


Backstage: Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Tucker, Otis

We cut backstage as Sonya tells Mandy Rose “your man looks happy” as we see Ziggler celebrating with Roode. Backstage, Otis is sitting watching the match and he’s not in a good mood. He tells Otis something is not right about Mandy dating Ziggler. Tucker tells him he knows he loves him but the truth is that sometimes the guy doesn’t get the girl. Sometimes Dolph Ziggler gets the girl and he should let Mandy go.

Tucker tells Otis that next week, they will go out and get him someone who he deserves.

In-Ring: Shisnuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Braun Strowman

Renee Young hosts the contract signing for the Braun Strowman and Shisnuke Nakamura. She introduces the challenger Nakamura to the ring. Out comes Nakamura with Sami Zayn and Cesaro. They get in the ring with the chairs and table set up. Out comes the champion.

Braun Strowman with the Intercontinental championship around his waist walks down the stage and gets in the ring.

Young asks Nakamura to sign first. Zayn says to hang on. He says they are trying to conduct business like gentlemen and tells Strowman to grab a seat. Strowman throws a chair over the top rope onto the outside.

Zayn says he would like to review the language to make sure it’s to their liking because they’ve all been getting mistreated lately. He says it’s a travesty of justice. Zayn says Nakamura couldn’t enjoy his birthday alst week because he had nine stitches on his head since Strowman bodyslammed him onto a piano.

Strowman tells Zayn to shut up. He says everybody is sick and tired of hearing him bitch and moan. He doesn’t care what’s in the contract because at the end of the day, he knows he will have to fight the three of them anyway. Strowman signs the contract as Zayn says we all heard it. Zayn says Strowman is willing to fight all three of them? Strowman asks if he’s going to spin it like that. Zayn quotes Strowman when he said he will fight all three of them and they can make that happen.

Zayn adds a note to the contract and signs it as does Cesaro. He hands the contract to Renee and asks her to give it to the notary backstage. Zayn says it’s official, it will be a 3 on 1 handicap match at the Elimination Chamber. Zayn tells Strowman he is going down at Elimination Chamber.

Strowman moves the table as Strowman asks him what makes him think he will make it to the Chamber? He knocks Nakamura and Cesaro down. Sami with the Helluva Kick onto Strowman. He hits him with another one. Nakamura and Cesaro lift Strowman up as Nakamura kicks Strowman down through the table.


Daniel Bryan vs. Curtis Axel

Drew Gulak is on commentary. The bell rings and we are under way. Axel gets Bryan in the corner and stomps on him. A snapmare by Axel as he goes for the cover but Bryan kicks out. Bryan gets back up as Axel sends him to the corner. He gets Bryan locked up in between the ropes and drops him to the mat.

Axel with right hands but Bryan gets Axel in the corner. Kicks to the midsection onto Axel. Bryan sends Axel to the ropes but a kick to the face by Axel. He throws Bryan to the outside. Axel throws Bryan into the ring post. Bryan rolls back into the corner and a kick to the face by Axel. Bryan starts to fight back runs to the ropes and he takes Axel down. Bryan with the Yes kicks. He goes for the last kick as Axel ducks, he goes for the cover but Bryan goes for the La Belle lock. Axel reverses it into a cover as the two men exchange cover attempts.

Curtis hits Bryan with a clothesline from behind. Axel goes for the Perfectplex as Gulak tells him to go for it. Axel looks in Drew’s direction as Bryan reverses it into the La Belle lock as Axel taps out.

Winner: Daniel Bryan via Submission.

In-Ring: The Miz & John Morrison

The new WWE SmackDown Tag Team champions come out to the ring. The Miz and John Morrison are in the ring as Miz asks the crowd “No you deserve it chants? Yes we do”. Morrison says if you thought they were good back in the day, to check them out now. Miz says they proved all the haters wrong and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. And they are the SmackDown Tag Team champions.

Miz says you can chant you suck because they don’t hear that. They only hear the sweet sound of victory and that sounds like “Miz and Morrison, hey, hey, ho, ho”. Some fans start to chant it as Morrison says to celebrate with a song. They play their song and celebrate in the ring.

A WWE referee runs to ringside and it’s announced that they will defend their WWE Smackdown Tag Team championships vs. The New Day, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party, Ziggler and Roode and The Usos. And that match will be an Elimination Chamber match. The Miz and Morrison are angry in the ring as The Usos’ music hits.


The Miz & John Morrison vs. The Usos

Morrison and Jey Uso are in the ring. A shoulder block by Morrison. He runs to the ropes but Jey trips him down. He goes for the cover but Morrison kicks out. Miz is tagged in. A hip toss by Jey takes Miz down. He spears Miz in the corner as Jimmy is tagged in.

Jimmy with a big splash. He goes for the cover as Miz kicks out. We get a camera glitch similar to last week. With the referee distracted, Morrison hits Jimmy with a kick to the head. Miz with a DDT. He goes for the cover but Jimmy kicks out.

Miz with a right hand as Morrison is tagged in. They double team Jimmy. Morrison goes for the cover as Jimmy kicks out. Morrison grabs Jimmy as Miz is tagged in. They double team Jimmy. Miz runs to the ropes and a kick to the face onto Jimmy. Miz gloats in the ring as he gets Jimmy in a chinlock.

Jimmy gets out of it as Morrison is tagged in. Jimmy with an inzighuri and both men are down. Miz trips Jey off the ring apron just as Jimmy was going for the tag. Morrison off the second rope hits Jimmy with a kick to the head. He goes for the cover but Jimmy kicks out.

Back from commercial, Jey and Miz are legal. Jey with kicks and right hands takes Miz down. A Samoan drop takes Miz down. Jey goes for the cover but Miz kicks out. Miz in the corner as Jey goes for a splash, Miz ducks, Morrison is tagged in and they double team Jey. Morrison goes for the cover but Jimmy breaks it up. Miz runs towards Jey but he’s thrown to the outside. Jey with a right hand on Morrison as Jimmy is tagged in.

They double team Morrison. Jey is tagged back in. Jimmy with a suicide dive to the outside. Jey goes for the big splash off the top rope but Morrison gets his knees up. He goes for the cover but Jey kicks out. Morrison runs towards Jey but Jey throws him onto the ring apron. A right hand by Morrison as he climbs the top rope. Jey with a right hand and Jimmy is tagged. Jey is pushed down and Morrison knocks Jimmy to the outside.

Morrison with the Starship Pain but Jimmy kicks Morrison down. Miz is knocked off the ring apron. Jimmy with the flip piledriver off the top rope which Corey Graves calls the Samoan Destroyer. Jey with a splash from the opposite side of the ring. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: The Usos via Pinfall.


In-Ring: John Cena

Live in the arena and it’s John Cena’s music which hits as he’s greeted with loud cheers. The 16 time world champion, in typical Cena fashion, wearing jean shorts and a lime green purple shirt and hat to match runs down to the ring.

Cena says he came out to talk to them but they’re talking to him and his heart is beating out of his chest. SmackDown Live on Fox, Boston let me hear you he says. The fans cheer. Cena says it’s crazy, it’s insane. The fans chant “Cena” as he thanks them. He asks what he’s doing here, it’s WrestleMania season. What is he doing at WrestleMania? It’s an event that no WWE sueprstar wants to miss. He knows his role has changed but he is and will always be a WWE superstar.

He asks again, what is he doing at WrestleMania. He says he is doing something different because he knows exactly how hard WWE superstars work each and every day just to hope for one WrestleMania moment. And he also prides himself on always listening to the biggest WWE superstar of them all, the WWE Universe. And sometimes you may feel like they don’t listen to you but he hears them after every Raw, NXT, Friday Night SmackDown on Fox and they are all passionate about the future of WWE. And he is too.

The fans chant “Cena” once more. He says he understands that he can come out here because of all he’s done and do what he wants to do for WrestleMania. But what is he doing? He says he is doing the right thing. This year, WrestleMania should go on without Johhn Cena. The fans boo. He says he hears them, this is not good bye but it is good bye for now and it is the right thing to do. He says he believes in the future of the company and WrestleMania spots should be earned, not demanded. He is betting on the future and this year, it’s going on without him.

Cena says he understands it makes WrestleMania a bit sour but it makes tonight special because he doesn’t know when he’ll be back. He said he wants to do this in front of his loved ones, his family, a place he calls home. He’s from West Newbury Massachusetts and it feels good to spend these last few moments tonight in Boston and he hopes the world is listening because they have a rowdy group tonight. The fans chant “Cena” again. He says it means more than we’ll ever know, thank you and he drops the mic.

He leaves the ring heading to the back. He gets on stage as the lights start to go black. The lights come back on and The Fiend is standing behind John Cena. He turns around and the two are face to face. The Fiend points to the WrestleMania sign as Cena looks at the crowd and they cheer. Cena nods his hand and does the you can’t see me sign as the lights go out.
