As noted before, August’s WWE SummerSlam event in Boston, Massachusetts is currently in serious doubt due to the city’s ban on large public gatherings expected to remain in place until early September.
WrestleVotes reported that based on their sources close to the situation, WWE officials still prefer for the event to take place in Boston but have been recently scouting new potential locations, especially ones that would allow fans to be present. Both Florida and Georgia are currently on the company’s radar for potential replacement locations.
It was also reported that WWE is also currently considering the idea of pushing back this year’s SummerSlam to a September date. The status of NXT’s TakeOver event for SummerSlam weekend is currently not known at this time.
