Elias has a legitimate torn pectoral muscle and the hit-and-run angle a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown was meant to write him off of TV, according to Post Wrestling.
Michael Cole said on Friday’s SmackDown that Elias has a torn pec, which is the actual injury that he’s suffering from. Cole said that Elias could be out of action for “months.”
Elias last wrestled on the May 15 episode of SmackDown in a win against King Corbin in the first round of the Intercontinental title tournament.
