In-Ring: Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Heath Slater

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring and welcomes everyone to the show. In two weeks at the Horror Show that will be Extreme Rules, it’ll be him taking on Dolph Ziggler. Last week, the contract signing got a little out of control. McIntyre allowed Ziggler to pick the stipulation for their match. Ziggler could pick a Cage Match, but there’d be no escape. He could beat Ziggler in a No Holds Barred Match, even a match that has sharks with frickin’ laser beams on top of their heads. Ziggler said he’d announce the stipulation, so now is the time.

Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the stage. Ziggler says this is his decision time. He’s not taking his talent down to South Beach. The decision… is a secret. McIntyre got cocky and let him pick the stipulation. He’d be a fool to let McIntyre know before Extreme Rules: The Horror Show. McIntyre is the exact same. McIntyre tells him he’s the WWE Champion. Ziggler says his resume is bigger. Between 2014 to 2017, what happened? McIntyre says he acknowledges he got fired, but he’s inspiring people to follow their dreams. The man Ziggler is talking to beat Brock Lesnar in 5 minutes at WrestleMania and then beat The Big Show. Ziggler says there’s a list a mile long of people McIntyre forgot about along the way.

Heath Slater walks out to the stage wearing a shirt that says, “Free Agent.” Slater says he doesn’t think McIntyre gets it. Slater has known McIntyre for over a decade. They go way back. Slater remembers when McIntyre first came to the States. McIntyre was one of the first to get called up to the main roster as “The Chosen One.” Back then, he wasn’t “The Chosen One.” Now this guy standing here is “The Chosen One.” Going back to April, Slater was at home with his kids watching McIntyre take on Brock Lesnar. McIntyre knocked Lesnar’s head off with a Claymore Kick and beat him. Slater cried tears of joy, the first time he ever cried in front of his kids. When McIntyre got released, Slater called him everyday. McIntyre is his brother.

Where was McIntyre for him? They haven’t spoken in a while. It was on “The Bump,” the one show they allowed him to go on and speak his mind. McIntyre knows about his kids… not the 22 everyone thinks he has. He’s talking about his two beautiful daughters. Slater was there for McIntyre. McIntyre wasn’t there for him. McIntyre said on “The Bump” that he would petition to have a match against Slater, but now he’s on the unemployment line. This isn’t a gimmick. This is real. Slater hopes their friendship can survive because he’s here to take this opportunity. Slater wants what he deserves… what McIntyre, as a friend, promised him. Slater shoves him and asks if he wants to fight. McIntyre asks him not to push him, so Slater slaps him in the face. McIntyre quietly says, “You’re on. You’ve got your fight.”

For example, she has to face Asuka tonight. At The Horror Show, she’ll defend against Nikki Cross. Cross thinks she can take the title… but she can’t! Banks says Asuka isn’t walking out as the Raw Women’s Champion. Green mist or not, she’ll make Asuka tap so she can be Two Belt Banks.

Raw Women’s Champion Asuka comes out laughing and says Banks is not good at math. As for Bayley, she is not ready for Asuka! Bayley says Asuka isn’t ready for Banks to humiliate her like she will at Extreme Rules. Asuka says Banks is not competing tonight… Bayley cuts her off and says Banks is ready for anybody at anytime. His guest isn’t someone you would expect to see on his show considering their history, but there’s a good reason for him to want that person out here. Owens asks everyone to welcome a pretty giant piece of trash, but he calls himself “The Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring along with Murphy. Rollins thanks Owens for having him on his show. How is Owens’ fractured ankle. Owens asks if he’s talking about the ankle he fractured at WrestleMania. It feels better than Rollins’ ego. Since WrestleMania, things haven’t been going well for Rollins. Owens says they faced each other at WrestleMania, which can create a bond. WrestleMania is the reason they do what they do. Because of that, he wants to give Rollins something. Owens hands him a shirt. It’s a KO-Mania shirt, which is like the one he wore when he beat Rollins at WrestleMania. Rollins sarcastically thanks him and throws it away.

Rollins says he sees what Owens is trying to do, but he doesn’t give a damn about Owens, his shirt, or his show. The only reason he’s out here is to use Owens and his show to use as a platform to address the now medically cleared Rey Mysterio. Rollins will take this opportunity to challenge Mysterio to a match at Extreme Rules. It’s time to permanently make Mysterio a sacrifice for the greater good of Monday Night Raw. Now they can drudge up the past. Owens sacrificed himself to get the pin at WrestleMania. Things haven’t been going well for Owens since WrestleMania. Owens has done nothing while Rollins has risen to prominence. Owens needs Rollins more than he does. Owens might get more out of fighting with him than against him. Fighting is what Owens does best. Maybe he should find a purpose in his fighting and fight for the greater good.

Rey Mysterio’s music hits, and he comes out to the stage with his son, Dominik. Does Rollins really believe Owens will fall for his BS? No. As for the challenge, Mysterio accepts. At Extreme Rules, Rollins’ destiny will be in his hands. Rollins says they were supposed to compete in a tag team match tonight, but his partner is a little MIA. What is Mysterio going to do? Face him and Murphy in a 2-on-1 match? Maybe they’ll take his good eye. Maybe he can bring his boy down and they can take one of his eyes. Owens says he had a chance to think of Rollins’ offer. He will never fight by Rollins’ side, but he’ll fight by Mysterio’s side. Owens offers to be his partner. Owens also suggests the winning team picks the stipulation at Extreme Rules.
