Keith Lee made his official debut for the RAW brand during Monday’s episode of RAW, facing Randy Orton in a match that resulted in a disqualification loss for Lee.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE officials currently have plans for Lee to be presented as one of the top babyface stars for the RAW brand going forward.
In an interesting note, Lee’s debut on RAW featured a new entrance theme instead of his previous NXT theme. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that the reason for the change was because WWE has been phasing out entrances themes produced by former company musical producers CFO$ in order to no longer pay royalties to the band.
Sapp reported that WWE officials have been urging their talent to ditch their CFO$ produced themes in favor of new non-CFO$ themes with Lee being among those who has signed off on the change. Sapp also reported that several talent have been very unhappy with the replacement themes being presented to them and have refused to accept the new changes.
Why does it legit sound like they tried to give Keith Lee a rip off Brock Lesnar theme song… #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/bLJdBI3SHc
