Ivar underwent neck surgery on Tuesday, September 15 after suffering a cervical injury on a suicide dive on the September 7 Raw.
He posted an update on Twitter today saying, “Little over a week post surgery, the road to recovery has begun!!! I can’t say Thank you enough to everyone for all the love and support, it has been unbelievably humbling. Better, Stronger, Healthier here I come! 💕🍗🤘”

According to PWInsider, the belief is that he underwent neck fusion surgery and will be out for an “extended period of time.” Dave Meltzer has speculated that with the type of surgery he underwent, he could be out for over a year.
