As previously noted, Abadon suffered an injury during her match against Tay Conti at Thursday’s AEW Dynamite tapings and had to be hospitalized.
There weren’t many details known at the time, but Bryan Alvarez had an update on Wrestling Observer Radio last night. According to Alvarez, “Something happened and she took an elbow to the throat and couldn’t breathe. So obviously they stopped the match immediately and they got her to the hospital and apparently she will be fine. So it was very scary but that’s what happened in that match.”
Abadon vs. Conti was scheduled to air on this Wednesday’s Dynamite. According to Dave Meltzer, the match will not air and a different match has been taped to replace it.
