Debut of AEW Games’ 2.Show Delayed to Next Week

As noted before, AEW recently announced that they will be launching a new series for their AEW Games brand called “2.Show” on their official YouTube channel. The series was originally announced to debut following tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which was originally scheduled to be Night 1 of AEW’s New Year Smash special.

AEW announced that after some careful consideration, they have decided to delay the debut of this new video game show to January 6th instead.


Major League Wrestling News & Notes

Major League Wrestling will not be airing a new episode of MLW Fusion tonight due to the New Year’s holiday.

MLW announced that Rich Bochino and Jared St. Laurent will be the permanent commentary team going forward for the company. Alicia Atout was also announced to be the company’s permanent backstage interview going forward as well.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that MLW officials currently have plans for Mads Krugger to receive a big push in the company. Johnson also reported that NJPW talent Rocky Romero will be working regularly for the company going forward.

MLW announced that they are currently working on plans for a “Filthy Island” event to be held within the near future.

MLW also recently announced that their MLW Fusion series will be launching on streaming service provider Roku starting with their Kings of Colosseum 2021 special on January 6th.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

AEW reportedly recently started enforcing copyright violations on people uploading videos featuring their content without permission on YouTube, according to the Wrestling Observer. Dave Meltzer reported that the company previously had let this slide but have been facing pressure to take a more aggressive stance due to their current television broadcast agreements.

Stardom recently announced that Mina Shirakawa suffered a broken nose injury this past Saturday and as a result, she will be out of action for the company for at least two months.

New Japan Pro Wrestling officials reportedly recently have been upset over talent leaking news regarding the production process for their tapings in the United States, according to Fightful Select (via 411Mania.com). It was reported that NJPW officials are specifically upset over news leaking that tapings for their NJPW Strong series are done in large batches. It was also reported that NJPW informed their talent to no longer discuss any details regarding their tapings process going forward.

Game Changer Wrestling announced that they have pulled Rickey Shane Page from the cards of their upcoming events this week due to their COVID-19 protocols and precautionary reasons.
