AEW: Shaq to Wrestle at Revolution, Riho Returning, Beach Break Card

Shaq at AEW Revolution

It looks like Shaquille O’Neal will step into the ring at the AEW Revolution PPV on March 7.

Earlier tonight during the AEW Awards, Shaq challenged Cody to a match, saying, “Cody Rhodes, you little punk. You want a battle? You just name the time and the day. Be there, you little punk with your little blonde hair like a little girl. You want some of the Shaq attack? Name the place. Matter of fact, let’s do it in March. How about that?”

Cody Rhodes came out on Dynamite to respond, but let Arn Anderson do the talking for him. Eventually, Anderson introduced Red Velvet, implying the proposal of a match between Cody & Velvet against Shaq and Jade Cargill. Cody didn’t give an official response to the challenge, but after Velvet cut a promo on Cargill, Tony Schiavone ended the segment with, “Shaq and Jade Cargill, the ball’s in your court.”

Riho Returning

Riho will be back in AEW for the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, which doesn’t have an official start date yet.

She’ll be taking on Serena Deeb in the first round. That’s the only match that’s been announced for the tournament so far.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion hasn’t wrestled for AEW since March 18 because of the coronavirus and the difficulty of traveling back and forth to and from her home in Japan. She’s been wrestling for Stardom for the past several months.
