She last wrestled at the Royal Rumble on January 31 and was the last person eliminated by the winner of the Rumble match, Bianca Belair. Before that, she last wrestled in NXT on January 6, losing a Last Woman Standing match to Raquel Gonzalez.
Ripley appeared on the main roster a few times already in late 2019 – early 2020, but this would be her first “official” call up from NXT. At last year’s WrestleMania, Charlotte Flair defeated Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship.
