Jey Uso
Jey Uso was notably not at the Royal Rumble. According to Dave Meltzer, he “wasn’t medically cleared” for the show, but it wasn’t specified if that means he’s injured or if it’s anything else.
Carlito
Carlito returned last night at the Rumble for his first WWE match since 2010. He also appeared on Raw tonight, teaming with Jeff Hardy to defeat Elias & Jaxson Ryker, so it appears that he’ll continue to wrestle for now.
According to PWInsider, “there was word making the rounds” that the 41 year old may get a tryout to be a producer for WWE.
WWE 2K
Reps from video game company 2K were backstage at the Royal Rumble recording content for the upcoming WWE 2K video game.
According to PWInsider, wrestlers recorded voice overs and most of the roster was scanned for the next game.
The next game will likely be WWE 2K22. The past several WWE 2K games have been released in October.
Vince McMahon
Vince McMahon was not at the Royal Rumble last night, according to Steve Carrier of Ringside News.
They say that Vince was in constant contact all day, but the show was run by Triple H, with Bruce Prichard in charge of writers and Kevin Dunn in charge of production.
Vince reportedly hasn’t been physically at shows since the death of his brother Rod McMahon on January 20.
