Christian Is AEW’s “Huge” Signing

Last Wednesday, Paul Wight said that AEW would announce the signing of a “Hall of Fame-worthy talent” at Revolution. The next day, Tony Khan hyped up the signing some more, calling him a “huge, huge star” and “one of my all time favorite wrestlers” and saying that he’ll sign a “multi-year contract” with AEW.

At Revolution tonight, the major signing was revealed to be Christian, who was using his non-WWE name, “Christian Cage.”

Christian made his entrance, came out to the ring, revealed a t-shirt that said “Out. Work. Everyone.” and signed his AEW contract.

Christian is a former two time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, two time NWA World Heavyweight Champion in TNA, and has held several other titles throughout his career.

After retiring due to concussions in 2014, he returned to the ring at this year’s Royal Rumble, entering at #24 and being one of the final seven wrestlers in the match.
