The Miz suffered a torn left ACL during his “Zombie Lumberjack Match” against Damian Priest Sunday night at WrestleMania Backlash.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the severity of the injury is not known yet and WWE is hopeful that it may just be a partial tear, which would keep him out for a shorter period. If it’s a full tear, he would require surgery and would likely be out of action for 7-9 months.
The injury appeared to happen when Damian Priest hit a spinning kick off of the top rope and landed on Miz’s legs. Miz immediately grabbed his left knee in pain and worked through the match for another few minutes, but was noticeably limping.
