NXT officials reportedly are currently working on big plans for their Cruiserweight division, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that NXT officials currently want to give their Cruiserweight division a bigger focus going forward with more storylines and bigger name stars being involved as part of their plans. It was also reported that NXT officials have held a very positive view of KUSHIDA ever since he joined the brand despite him only recently having a prominent role on NXT television.
It was also reported that it is currently not known if WWE’s 205 Live brand will be involved in any of these upcoming plans for the division. Despite being the original home of the Cruiserweight Championship, the title nor its champion has not appeared on the brand in recent months and was last defended on a 205 Live show in August of 2019.
