Backstage: Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax

Alexa Bliss is shown swinging backstage and giggling. Bliss says she received a lot of feedback over what Lilly did. It got out of hand. Replays are shown of what happened to Shayna Baszler last week. Bliss says she’s putting Lilly in timeout as WWE gets closer to returning to the road, but that doesn’t mean that Baszler didn’t get what was coming to her.

Nia Jax walks up and asks what happened to her. Bliss doesn’t like that she just waltzed onto her area. Jax says Baszler will take care of Bliss at Hell in a Cell, but she wants Bliss in the ring tonight. Bliss pretends to cry before laughing and accepting the challenge.


Nikki Cross vs. Charlotte Flair

Sarah Schreiber asks Charlotte Flair why it’s so important to get even with Nikki Cross rather than focus on Hell in a Cell. Flair wants to take Cross down and prove to Rhea Ripley that she is the opportunity.

The bell rings, and Flair quickly takes Cross down. The music of the Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley hits, distracting Flair. Cross rolls Flair up for a one count. Flair quickly knocks Cross out of the ring and sends her into the barricade before taunting Ripley. Flair continues to attack Cross and puts her in the ring.

We return from the break to see Flair applying a chin lock. Cross fights up and cradles Flair for a near fall. Flair takes her down and chokes Cross on the ropes in front of Rhea Ripley, who is seated at ringside. Flair chops at her and accidentally hits her in the ear. Cross tries to roll Flair up, but Flair stops it and stomps the chest. Flair props Cross up on the top rope and chops her. Flair talks a little trash to Ripley as well. Cross fights Flair back and boots her in the face. Cross then hits a tornado DDT, knocking Flair out of the ring. Cross goes to the apron and tries for a cross-body block, but Flair catches her. Flair holds her up and smiles at Ripley. Ripley just smiles. Flair then hits a fall-away slam on the floor. Flair taunts Ripley and gets counted out. Cross got back in the ring.

Winner by Count-Out: Nikki Cross

Cross celebrates at ringside before Flair big boots her down. Flair gets her in the ring and elbows away at her face. Flair goes for the Figure Eight, but Ripley runs in and hits the Riptide.


Backstage: Jeff Hardy, Riddle

Jeff Hardy is backstage with Riddle. Riddle asks Hardy about teamwork. Hardy tells Riddle to listen to Randy Orton since he’s been here so long. Hardy shows off his eye makeup, and Riddle thinks he has four eyes. Riddle talks about all he could do with four eyes, but Hardy walks away. Randy Orton walks up and tells Riddle to not be him, but act like Riddle. Riddle asks if he likes him and Orton says, “No.”


John Morrison vs. Jeff Hardy

John Morrison makes his way to the ring with The Miz, who is in a wheelchair.

Before the match begins, John Morrison sprays Jeff Hardy in the face with the Drip Stick. The bell rings, and Morrison quickly attacks. Hardy quickly fights back and takes him down in the corner. Morrison kicks him away attempting a slingshot dropkick. Morrison then twists in the air and hits a clothesline. Cedric Alexander makes his way to ringside. Morrison continues to attack Hardy until Hardy hits a double leg drop pin for a two count. Morrison reverses a whip to the corner, but Hardy boots him down. Hardy throws a towel at the Miz and hits Morrison with Whisper in the Wind for a near fall. Hardy rolls to the apron and shoulders Morrison. Hardy goes for a suplex out of the ring, but Morrison lands on the apron and kicks him in the midsection. Morrison slings Hardy over the top rope and snaps him off. Morrison connects with Starship Pain for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: John Morrison

Cedric Alexander says he looked up to Jeff Hardy, but Hardy turned out to be a sore winner. Hardy taunted him, making Alexander realize he should be beat his ass into a retirement home. Hardy says he’ll retire if Alexander can beat him right now.

Jeff Hardy vs. Cedric Alexander

If Jeff Hardy loses, he will retire from professional wrestling.

The bell rings, and Hardy quickly attacks Alexander and shoulders him in the corner before tossing him out of the ring. Alexander snaps Hardy’s knee off the ropes getting in the ring. Alexander covers for a two count. Alexander applies a single leg crab before stomping away at it. Hardy punches away at Alexander and sends him face first into the turnbuckle. Hardy hits a slingshot dropkick and covers for a two count. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate, but Alexander counters into a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Alexander talks a little trash and goes to the top rope. Alexander goes for a Swanton Bomb, but Hardy moves. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate, but Alexander knees him in the face. Alexander goes for a Neuralyzer, but Hardy ducks. Hardy hits a Twist of Fate and goes to the top rope. Hardy crushes him with a Swanton Bomb for the win.

Naomi vs. Piper Niven

Eva Marie makes her way to the ring with Piper Niven. The announcers pretend to not know who she is despite being a featured member of the NXT UK roster…

Niven quickly crushes Naomi with a shoulder block, a senton, and some splashes and a Michinoku Driver for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Piper Niven

Eva Marie announces that she actually won the match, and Niven hugs her like a superfan.


Backstage: Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, Natalya, Tamina

Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke are taking photos backstage when they stop because Natalya and Tamina were working out in the ring. The noise was apparently distracting them from taking photos. Natalya and Tamina say they should worry more about their skills than taking photos. It wasn’t their brains that opened doors for them. Mandy Rose says if they didn’t have the last names they did, the doors would have been slammed shut for them. They get in the ring and brawl until officials break them up.


Backstage: Drew McIntyre

Kevin Patrick interviews Drew McIntyre backstage about what could be his final WWE Championship opportunity. McIntyre tells a story about William Wallace, who he refers to as Big Willy. McIntyre tells some war story and says this has nothing to do with his match at Hell in a Cell. His strategy is a secret, but it will be cold and calculated.


The New Day vs. RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle)

Riddle starts against Xavier Woods. They lock up, but quickly break it. Riddle goes for a Bromission, but Woods gets out. Kofi Kingston tags in, and they hit Riddle with a double-team inverted atomic drop for a two count. Woods tags back in and kicks Riddle. Kingston tags in and hits a double stomp to the elbow. Woods tags in, and Orton makes a tag. Orton applies a side headlock before whipping him off. Woods elbows Orton before Kingston tags in. Kingston hits a springboard cross-body block for a two count. Kingston wrenches the arm, but Orton knees him. Orton whips Kingston to the corner, but Kingston hits a springboard dropkick. Riddle and Woods run in. Woods hits Riddle with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex before faking some dives. The New Day celebrates in the ring as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to see Riddle hit a fisherman’s suplex on Woods for a two count. Randy Orton tags in and flips Riddle onto Woods, but Riddle clearly overshoots. Orton works over the arm of Woods. Riddle tags in and goes for an arm bar. Woods fights it, so Orton tags in and viciously stomps Woods’ chest. Orton then cinches in a chin lock.

Woods fights out and tags Kingston in. Kingston hits a springboard chop and knocks Riddle off the apron. Orton tries to fight back, but Kingston quickly takes him down before hitting a Boom Drop. Orton makes the tag to Riddle. Riddle runs wild on Kingston and hits a Floating Bro for a near fall. Orton cut Woods off before he interfered.

We come back from the break to see Woods hit Riddle with a superplex. Kingston tags in and splashes Riddle, but Orton breaks it up. Riddle hits a snap kick on Woods and slams him for a near fall. Orton tags in. RK-Bro hits Woods with a double-team powerbomb for a near fall. Orton goes for a hanging DDT, but Kingston pulls Woods away. This drives Orton’s throat into the top rope. Orton rolls and tags Riddle in. Riddle goes for a German Suplex off the second rope, but Woods counters and puts him in the electric chair. Kingston comes off the top rope and double stomps Riddle on the electric chair drop for a near fall.

The New Day goes for the Midnight Hour, but Riddle fights it. Riddle hits Kingston with a big knee and crawls toward Orton. Woods picks Riddle up, but Riddle slides off and scoops him up. Orton blind tags in. Woods rolls Orton up for a two count. Orton quickly kicks Woods and sends him to the corner. Woods boots him back and goes for the Honor Roll, but Orton gives him an RKO from out of nowhere for the win.

Backstage: Rhea Ripley

Footage is shown of Rhea Ripley giving Charlotte Flair a Riptide earlier tonight.

Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley says to Sarah Schreiber that she’s going to send Charlotte Flair to the back of the line after this Sunday.


Non-Title Match
Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka

Asuka outsmarts Ripley and gloats to start the match. Ripley fights back and absorbs a clothesline, so Asuka goes to an octopus stretch. Ripley fights out and takes Asuka down for a two count. Ripley hits some short-arm clotheslines until Asuka fights back. Asuka goes for a whip, but Ripley puts the brakes on. Ripley goes for a corner dropkick, but she crashes and burns when Asuka moves. Ripley avoids an attack at ringside. Ripley blocks a kick and puts Asuka in the electric chair before slamming her off the barricade. Ouch!

We return from the break and Asuka soon hits a hip attack on Ripley for a two count. Ripley comes back with a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Asuka hits a throw and a sliding kick for a near fall. Ripley eventually fights back at Asuka and hits the Riptide for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley

Immediately after the bell rings, Charlotte Flair attacks Ripley. They get into a huge brawl that has to be broken up by officials. Flair’s nose got busted in the ordeal.


Backstage: Bobby Lashley, MVP

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is in the VIP Suite with MVP and the dancing women. Kevin Patrick comes in and asks how they’re preparing for Hell in a Cell. MVP tells him to mind his business. The Champ is concerned about Hell in a Cell. Drew McIntyre will run out of opportunities. Lashley says when Drew McIntyre steps into Hell in a Cell, he’ll wish he never said Lashley’s name. McIntyre asked for it. Everyone has to remember that. The same thing that happened to William Wallace will happen to McIntyre. Lashley will publicly execute McIntyre and put his head on a stick.


Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax

The bell rings, and Bliss kicks her a few times before jumping on the back for a sleeper hold. Jax throws Bliss off. Jax scoops her up, but Bliss goes back to the sleeper hold. Jax backs her to the corner, so Bliss attacks the knee. Bliss gets to her feet, but Jax runs her over with an avalanche. Jax throws Bliss across the ring and hits a hip attack in the corner. Jax hits a big scoop slam and covers for a near fall. Jax goes to a chin lock, and Bliss yells in frustration. Bliss tries to fight up, but Jax shoulder blocks her down. Jax goes for a leg drop, but Bliss sits up and looks mad. Bliss kicks Jax in the face and grabs her. Jax pushes her off. Bliss avoids a charge in the corner and goes to the top rope. Bliss is distracted by Reginald. Jax grabs Bliss, but Bliss gets down and DDTs her. Bliss goes to the top rope and hits Twisted Bliss. Reginald runs in and pulls Bliss off.

Winner by Disqualification: Alexa Bliss

Reginald starts to beg Bliss off. She gives him a blank stare, and Reginald looks like he’s falling into a trance. Bliss then runs away. Yeah.


Backstage: MVP, The New Day

MVP is backstage with the New Day. MVP tries to convince Kofi Kingston to change his ways. Kingston says nothing MVP says can change how he feels.


Elias vs. Jaxson Ryker

Jaxson Ryker said Elias was holding him back in a pretaped promo.

The bell rings, and Elias immediately knees him down and viciously attacks him. Ryker soon fights back. They brawl outside the ring. Ryker gets in the ring, and Elias intentionally gets counted out… again.

Winner by Count-Out: Jaxson Ryker


Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley comes out with his ladies and MVP to sit on the stage. AJ Styles and Omos like passing by the women.

Styles takes it to McIntyre early on, but McIntyre soon sends him into the stratosphere with a back body drop. McIntyre sends him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. McIntyre fights back and hits a Future Shock DDT. McIntyre gets up and challenges WWE Champion Bobby Lashley to get in the ring. McIntyre sets up for a Claymore Kick, but Omos pulls Styles out of the ring. The Viking Raiders make their way to ringside to even the odds.

We come back from the break to see McIntyre hit Styles with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. McIntyre and Styles have some exchanges in the corner with each man taking some punishment. McIntyre fights back with a Michinoku Driver for a two count. McIntyre puts Styles on the top rope, but Styles slides off and hits an ushigoroshi for a near fall. Styles goes for a Styles Clash, but McIntyre gives him a back body drop over the top rope.

McIntyre puts Styles back in the ring and cuts Lashley off before he attacks. McIntyre sends Lashley to the barricade. McIntyre hits Styles with a diving clothesline off the top rope. Lashley runs in and attacks McIntyre.

Winner by Disqualification: Drew McIntyre

The Viking Raiders jump in the ring. McIntyre and Lashley brawl to ringside before McIntyre gives him an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor.

6-Man Tag Team Match
Drew McIntyre & The Viking Raiders vs. Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles & Omos

Erik starts against AJ Styles. Erik quickly takes Styles down. Styles fights back with a kick to the ear, but Erik slams him down. Ivar tags in and scoop slams Styles. Erik scoop slams Ivar onto Styles for a two count. WWE Champion Bobby Lashley runs down dressed to compete and pulls McIntyre off the apron. Lashley sends McIntyre into the barricade. Lashley tags in and viciously attacks Erik. Styles tags in and attacks Erik in the corner. Omos tags in and attacks Erik. Lashley tags in and goes for a flatliner, but Erik fights out and knees the WWE Champion in the face. Lashley stops Erik from making a tag and hits a flatliner. Lashley knocks McIntyre off the apron. Ivar manages to tag in and takes Lashley down before splashing him. Ivar scoops Lashley up, but Lashley slides off him. Ivar rolls over Lashley’s back and does a cartwheel. Lashley grabs him, but Ivar shoves him off. Ivar charges, but Lashley hits a one-armed spinebuster. Byron Saxton inexplicably says this is the first time Lashley and Ivar have been in the ring together. Erik breaks up the pin. Styles dropkicks Erik. Lashley gives McIntyre an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Omos tags in and knocks Ivar away before turning him inside out with a shoulder block.

We come back from the break to see Lashley dominating Ivar. Lashley crushes him for a bit before Styles tags in. Ivar fights back and flattens Styles.

McIntyre and Omos tag in. They slowly approach each other. Omos towers over McIntyre. Omos grabs McIntyre by the throat, but McIntyre kicks him in the knee a few times to break out. McIntyre punches Omos back before Omos shoves him away. Styles blind tags in and misses a Phenomenal Forearm. McIntyre hits Styles with a trio of overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. McIntyre goes for a Claymore Kick, but Omos pulls him down by the hair. Omos sends Ivar over the barricade. Erik attacks, but Omos throws him over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area.

Styles forcibly tags Lashley in. Lashley isn’t happy and looks concerned. McIntyre then flattens Lashley with a Claymore Kick for the win.
