Davey Boy Smith Jr. Back in WWE, Wrestles SmackDown Dark Match

Davey Boy Smith Jr. returned to WWE for the first time in 10 years tonight, wrestling in a dark match before SmackDown.

Smith teamed with Austin Theory to take on Odyssey Jones & Xyon Quinn. In another dark match, Xia Li faced Aliyah.

In a video that was posted to WWE’s social media accounts tonight, Smith, using his real name “Harry Smith,” said that he was excited to be “back” in WWE.

Smith, the son of “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, was first signed by WWE in 2006 and wrestled there as “DH Smith” until his release in 2011.

After his WWE release, he mostly wrestled in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he was an IWGP Tag Team Champion with Lance Archer three times. Since 2018, he’s also been wrestling in MLW, where he was part of a new “Hart Foundation” stable with Teddy Hart and Brian Pillman Jr.

Smith inducted his late father into the WWE Hall of Fame this year during WrestleMania weekend.
