As noted before, Vince McMahon was scheduled to visit WWE’s Performance Center this week as part of the company’s current major scouting plans for their main roster brands.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that McMahon visited the Performance Center on Thursday. McMahon reportedly was accompanied by WWE President Nick, Executive Director Bruce Prichard, and Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.
Johnson reported that McMahon and other WWE high level officials meet with NXT’s staff and observed the training held that day at the venue. The general mood at the Performance Center during McMahon’s visit reportedly was positive with one source spoken to describing his appearances as a “breath of fresh air.” This reportedly contrasted with the general mood prior to McMahon’s visit which was stated to be one of concern by many within the Performance Center.
In a correction to an earlier report, the reason for several main roster talent visiting the Performance Center this week was not for scouting related reasons. Fightful Select reported that McMahon had informed many talent who had been off of WWE television in recent weeks that they had to report to the Performance Center this week for training purposes. McMahon reportedly wants WWE’s main roster talent to be in top ring shape before they resume live touring later this month.
