NBC Universal and USA Network reportedly are upset with WWE over both Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch being recently moved to the SmackDown brand, according to the Mat Men Wrestling podcast.
The Mat Men Wrestling’s Andrew Zarian reported that his sources stated that NBC and USA Network officials were not happy when they learned that WWE was moving both Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch to the SmackDown brand. Zarian reported that those same officials feel that FOX is getting too much of a boost for SmackDown at the expense of their RAW brand shows.
Zarian also reported that NBC and USA Network officials were also not happy that WWE was not going to use Lesnar and Lynch similar to how John Cena was used for the recent Roman Reigns feud, which involved him appearing on both RAW and SmackDown shows.
WWE officials reportedly offered assurances to NBC and USA Network that FOX currently having the big advantage in star power would only be temporary. WWE also reportedly informed NBC and USA Network of their plans to “shuffle the deck” with their roster to spread out the star power more evenly with their upcoming WWE Draft in early October.
