Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard Will Reportedly Be More Involved in Producing NXT

NXT will be a “McMahon-Prichard” production soon, according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, with Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard making big decisions for the brand.

“I have heard from several people now that when they go back to live shows, this is going to be a McMahon-Prichard production,” Alvarez said.

Dave Meltzer added that McMahon and Prichard will be “behind the big decisions, not the little ones, and will be behind marketing, promotion, and direction.” They will also have a hand in booking the show, but it may only be for top stars and angles on the brand, Meltzer added.

WWE President Nick Khan said in an interview with Ariel Helwani a couple of weeks ago that NXT will be undergoing a “complete revamp.”

“We are doing a complete revamp on NXT, led by Triple H/Paul Levesque, who is really one of the architects of the original NXT,” Khan said. “We want our system to be an easy system where people who want to be superstars, they know how to get to us, and we can get to them. In terms of an NXT rebrand, look for it in the next couple of weeks. It’s going to have a whole new look. It’s going to have a whole new feel, and we believe because a lot of the ‘Indie wrestlers’ if you will, have come through our system and are in our system with SmackDown and Raw now, we don’t want to just keep doing that same thing, we want to look elsewhere for great young talent.”

Next Wednesday’s NXT has already been taped, so it’ll still be the “old NXT,” but the show will return live on September 15, likely with the new revamp.

WWE has already revealed a colorful new NXT logo, ditching the black and gold for splatters of color.
