As noted before, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced earlier this week that Jon Moxley will be stepping aside from wrestling for the foreseeable future in order to get treatment for his current alcoholism issues.

Moxley’s wife Renee Paquette recently issued a statement on Twitter thanking everyone who has given him support and for being proud of Moxley for getting the proper help he needs.

TNT & TBS GM Comments on AEW’s Move to TBS in 2022 & Status of Rhodes to the Top Series

Deadline held a recent interview with TNT, TBS, and truTV General Manager Brett Weitz. Some of the topics discussed included if an official decision has been made regarding if Rhodes to the Top series will be getting a second season and his thoughts on AEW moving to TBS next year.

On the topic of if a decision for a second season of AEW’s Rhodes to the Top reality series has been made, Weitz stated:

“No. Not yet. It just ran and finished, and we’re settling in with numbers. You know this, Nellie, to just go Live+Same Day is so antiquated. You want to see how things are consumed on VOD and see how things continue to play out.”

On the topic of AEW’s move to TBS in early 2022, Weitz stated:

“We obviously make these decisions with a lot of data and gut behind them. The brand of TBS is we’re always here for a good time. That is exactly what AEW is and AEW Dynamite, and so, when we look at the concentric circles of TBS and TNT, our TBS viewer is a heavy drama viewer, believe it or not. So, we know that those fans will migrate over, and we also believe that wrestling fans find the content wherever it is, and we also think, more wrestling’s better for everybody, honestly.”

Impact Wrestling News & Notes

Impact Wrestling announced that next year’s Hard to Kill event will be taking place at The Factory in Dallas, Texas. The company also announced that tickets for this upcoming event will officially go on sale starting on November 12th.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within Impact stated that Tenille Dashwood is currently expected to return during the weekend of November 20th for Impact’s Turning Point 2021 event and television tapings.

Johnson also reported that Taylor Wilde is currently taking time off from the company to deal with personal issues. Impact officials reportedly currently do not have any timetable for her return and instead will be leaving that decision completely up to Wilde.

Impact reportedly currently is working on plans for their Wrestle House series to return in some sort of fashion in the future, according to PWInsider.

As noted before, Impact Wrestling recently announced that they have signed “Speedball” Mike Bailey to an official contract with the company. During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Bailey stated that contract talks with WWE ended up being dropped due to WWE deciding to go in a new direction for talent signings.

“We went through a process and we had some pretty in-depth discussions. I didn’t sign a contract. It pretty much went up to that point of me accepting an offer and going through the proceedings that would lead up to me signing for several months, and them deciding they were going in a different direction.”

Bailey also gave his thoughts about his recent signing with Impact.

“I look forward to starting with Impact Wrestling, The response from people has been overwhelming. Not that I didn’t expect the response from the crowd and the Internet to be positive, but it was so positive. Some of the comments I’ve read have been so positive that they’ve almost brought me to tears.

I love wrestling. And when wrestling works, it works for everyone. It brings people together in a way that is really hard to describe. There are so many ways to fail and it is very unforgiving, which is why it is so satisfying when you succeed.”
