In-Ring: Bron Breakker

NXT Men’s Champion Bron Breakker makes his way to the ring. Bron tells Ciampa ‘thank you’. He says Tommaso is an unbelievable athlete and performer as well as a great human being. Most people did not see it and Ciampa told him congratulations, it is your time. Then he went to pay his respects to his father who saw Bron wrestle in person for the first time. Breakker says he is ready for it. There are no bye weeks and no days off. We have to get back on the horse and perform every week. To anybody in the back who wants to challenge me, know this. Every day when you show up to train, I have already been there. When you are watching film, I have already done it. When you are ready to leave, I am still here. I am the champion.


“Winner Gets Elektra Lopez”
Santos Escobar vs. Xyon Quinn

Quinn attacks Escobar before the bell rings and Quinn with shoulders and punches in the corner. Quinn with a clothesline. We see Elektra on the HBalKony. Quinn rakes the eyes across the top rope and he punches Escobar. Quinn with a punch and elbow in the corner and then he hits snake eyes on Escobar. Quinn with a rear chin lock. He rakes the eyes across the top rope again. Quinn with shoulders and punches. Quinn with punches and a biel to Escobar. Quinn with a head butt.

Escobar with forearms but Quinn with a flying back elbow. Quinn gets a near fall. Quinn chokes Escobar in the ropes. Escobar with a kick and punch but Quinn with elbows and then he sends Escobar to the floor. Quinn goes to the floor and sends Escobar into the apron and follows with a chop. Quinn sends Escobar back into the ring and Wilde tries to attack Quinn but Quinn sends him into the air and face first to the floor. Escobar with a suicide dive and then he sends Quinn into the apron before they return to the ring. Escobar with a trailer hitch. Quinn crawls to get to the ropes and he gets there to force a break.

Escobar with a kick to the back of the leg and another kick to the back of the leg to send Quinn to the mat. Escobar with an elbow to the top of the head. Escobar with a heel hook. Escobar gets a near fall as Lopez makes her way to ringside. Escobar kicks Quinn in the leg and hits a splash to the leg. Quinn with punches but Escobar puts the leg in the ropes and hits a drop kick to the leg. Escobar backs Quinn into the corner and chops Quinn. Escobar runs into a forearm. Quinn with punches and a rolling head butt. Quinn with a shoulder in the corner. Quinn with a biel and shoulder in the corner. Quinn gets Escobar on his shoulders and Mendoza gets on the apron to Quinn drops Escobar. Quinn is tripped on the apron and Escobar gets Quinn up and Lopez stands in front of Escobar and he lets Quinn go.

Quinn hits Escobar from behind. Escobar sets for a suicide dive but Quinn with a punch to Escobar. Lopez rubs down Quinn and Quinn turns around to return to the ring but while the referee deals with Escobar, Lopez kicks Quinn in an uncomfortable place. Mendoza rolls Quinn back in and Escobar with the Phantom Driver for the three count.

Winner: Santos Escobar


Backstage: Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo says there are 16 different ways to use a crowbar and he will only need to use 3 tonight. He was trying to be a nice guy and only give him a broken hand. Tonight, you are done. All I wanted was a trophy from War Games. You are like my mutt who I try to teach not to go to the bathroom in the living room. I will show you that I am in charge.


Segment: Mandy Rose

We are back with a Mandy Rose photo shoot. She says this is how a champion celebrates after a successful title defense. She says she arrived at style at New Year’s Evil but she left with her title. They brought the fight but they could not beat me. You watch every week because NXT is all about Mandy. Keep watching and keep staring. I know you will.


Cameron Grimes vs. Damon Kemp

Kemp with a waist lock and take down. Kemp with a take down but Grimes with a rollup for a near fall. Grimes with an arm drag into an arm bar.

Malcolm Bivens is watching from the entrance as Grimes escapes a head scissors. Grimes with a kick to the chest and a second one. Kemp sends Grimes into the turnbuckles but Grimes with a kick and Kemp catches Grimes off the turnbuckles and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Kemp with a reverse chin lock. Grimes with an arm drag and running forearms. Grimes with a flying boot into the corner. Grimes goes up top and hits a cross body. Grimes with Cave In for the three count.

Winner: Cameron Grimes


Backstage: Joe Gacy & Harland

Joe Gacy says that him and Harland want to extend their gratitude to the committee for letting them have a chance in the play in match. To allow them to participate in such a historic event, it will be something they will remember for the rest of their lives. They will use this platform to show that everyone has an equal opportunity to win the Dusty Cup. When you step in the ring with us, you are in a safe space. We might be rivals tonight, Harland wants you to know that does not make us rivals in life.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Qualifying Match
Joe Gacy & Harland vs. Edris Enofe & Malik Blade

In a video, Edris and Malik talk about how others say they are not a real tag team. Malik says they are going to win tonight and shock the world.

Gacy and Enofe start things off and they lock up. Gacy backs Enofe into the corner and Gacy with a break but misses a punch. Enofe with a waist lock and Gacy with an elbow. Gacy with a shoulder tackle and he catches Enofe on a leap frog but Enofe gets back ot his feet. Gacy with a forearm and a uranage. Gacy gets a near fall. Enofe with a front face lock but Gacy with a reversal. Enofe with a rollup for a near fall. Enofe with a kick and Blade tags in. Blade with a drop kick. Blade with an arm drag into an arm bar. Enofe tags in and Blade with a kick and swinging neck breaker. Enofe gets a near fall.

Gacy sends Enofe into the turnbuckles and Harland tags in and so does Blade. Harland with a sleeper and then he sends Blade into the turnbuckles. Harland chokes Blade against the turnbuckles and kicks Blade. Harland clotheslines Enofe on the apron. Enofe is sent into the ring post shoulder first. Harland sends Blade into the turnbuckle and attacks him in the corner after the referee’s five count and the ref calls for the bell.

Winners: Malik Blade and Edris Enofe (by disqualification)


Video: Imperium

We have a video for Imperium. It is about integrity, discipline, and honor. Everything they have earned is by working harder than everyone else. Barthel says no one can imagine living in a world without entitlement and excess. Aichner says they do not congratulate themselves when they succeed. They fight harder. They do not believe on a star or believe in a pipe dream. Barthel says we carry ourselves with class and sophistication. WALTER says we are not like you.


Crowbar on a Pole Match
Pete Dunne vs. Tony D’Angelo

D’Angelo makes the first charge at the corner and he stops Dunne with a punch. Dunne with chops and D’Angelo with a knee. Tony goes for a suplex but Dunne blocks it and applies a double wrist lock with a body scissors. Dunne stomps on Tony and he goes to the turnbuckles but Tony pulls him off. Tony with punches and a bear hug. Dunne with a front face lock and a boot to the back of the head. Dunne almost gets to the crowbar but Tony stops him. Tony with punches to the midsection. Dunne has a boot blocked and Tony with a t-bone suplex. Tony gets to the turnbuckles but Dunne stops him. Dunne stands on D’Angelo’s head and stomps on it before trying to get the crowbar and Dunne has his hand on it but Tony knocks Pete to the apron. Dunne kicks Tony and Tony with a Falcon Arrow back into the ring.

We are back and Dunne is lifted in the air by the arm as we see weapons on the floor that we are told the referee stopped them from using. Dunne with kicks to the head and a round kick to D’Angelo. Dunne wtih a neck breaker. Dunne with a boot to the hand. Dunne continues to work on the arm and then stomps on the shoulder. Dunne has his hand on the crowbar but forgets how to take it off the hook. Tony stops Dunne and hits a German superplex. Tony climbs the turnbuckles and gets the crowbar. Tony misses hitting Dunne a few times with the crowbar and Dunne hits Tony and gets the crowbar. Dunne misses Tony with the crowbar. Tony pulls Dunne to the apron and then drops Dunne on the apron.

Tony gets the crowbar back and he tries to choke Dunne with it. Tony misses Dunne’s hand and hits the announce table and then he hits the steps. Dunne kicks Tony and then hits a knee drop to the arm. Dunne returns to the ring to break up the count. Dunne sends Tony back into the ring and gets the crowbar. Dunne uses the crowbar on a crossface chicken wing. Tony back Dunne into the turnbuckles and hits a swinging neck breaker with the crowbar on the throat for a near fall. Tony stomps on the hand and then he puts the crowbar on top of the hand and slams the crowbar into the mat.

Dunne counters a neckbreaker and Dunne with a kick in the corner and more kicks. Dunne with a round kick and then he grabs the crowbar again. Dunne misses and Tony with a German suplex but Dunne lands on his feet. Dunne with a drop toe hold and he puts the crowbar in Tony’s mouth. Tony gets a chair and Dunne with a drop kick and Tony’s hand is hurt. The referee takes the chair and Dunne counters a t-bone suplex into a triangle. Dunne with elbows and then D’Angelo gets to the rope to force a break. Dunne with forearms and D’Angelo with a take down that sends Dunne into a chair. Dunne is sent into the pole and then Tony hits Dunne with the crowbar for the three count.

Winner: Tony D’Angelo


Backstage: Grayson Waller

McKenzie Mitchell is in the back with Grayson Waller. Grayson points out he is in the main event, where he belongs, and after he wins, where he is staying. Waller says maybe he will go to Smackdown to take care of Roman Reigns and Shinsuke Nakamura. Waller says he is going to create another Grayson Waller moment tonight against AJ Styles.


Video: Toxic Attraction

We are back with a feature on Toxic Attraction. They talk about how the thirst for Toxic Attraction has been greater than ever since Halloween Havoc. No one can hang with this group of champions. Mandy is at the top of her game and no tag team can touch them. Follow the crowd because everyone watches our every move.


Six Woman Tag Team Match
Indi Hartwell, Persia Pirotta & Wendy Choo vs. Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter & Amari Miller

Indi and Amari start things off and Miller with a wrist lock. Amari with an arm drag and acy tags in while Amari hits a suicide dive on Indi. Kayden with a cross body onto Indi. Kacy with a flip dive onto Persia.

We see Jensen and Briggs watching in the back.

Wendy lies down on the turnbuckles and Kayden with a twisting facebuster for a near fall. Indi kicks Kayden and Wendy makes it to her feet. Kayden drop kicks Persia off the apron. Kayden with a sunset flip for a near fall. Wendy tags in and so does Amari. Choo avoids Miller and then kicks Miller and connects with a clothesline. Choo with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex followed by a cartwheel clothesline into the corner. Persia with a sit out power bomb to Kacy. Indi with a spinebuster to Kayden. Miller with a facebuster to Indi. Wendy has had enough so it is time to take a nap. Choo kicks Miller away and Persia gets Miller up and hits a sit out TKO and Indi with an elbow drop to the back for the three count.

Winners: Wendy Choo, Persia Pirotta, and Indi Hartwell


Backstage: MSK, Dakota Kai

MSK walk in the back and they see the Dusty Cup. Lee says history is going to repeat itself as they run through all of the teams.

Dakota Kai shows up and she says they won it. Dakota says nothing divides friendships more than success.

Wes and Nash tell Dakota to get away.


Backstage: Solo Sikoa

Solo Sikoa says if you want to fight, that is a language he can understand. He does not care which one of you it is, let’s go.


Backstage: Kay Lee Ray

We are back and Kay Lee Ray is at a photo shoot and she is looking for Mandy Rose. Kay Lee mentions that Mandy can show up for photo shoots but cannot defend the title. Kay Lee destroys the set as innocent lights and backgrounds suffer for Mandy’s actions.


Solo Sikoa vs. Boa

They lock up and Sikoa punches Boa and sends him into the turnbuckles. Sikoa with a chop. Boa with a back heel kick and kicks to the leg. Boa sends Sikoa to the floor. Boa misses a kick when Sikoa returns to the ring. Sikoa with punches and a chop. Sikoa with a punch and they go to the floor. Boa sends Sikoa into the ring post and they return to the ring. Boa with boots to the chest. Boa with knees to Sikoa against the ropes. Bo with a butterfly suplex for a near fall. Boa with a head lock. Sikoa with kicks and a back senton. Sikoa with a flying clothesline and both men go over the top rope to the floor.

Sikoa sends Boa into the ring steps. Boa sends Sikoa into the announce table and Boa sends Sikoa into the ring post as the referee gets to ten.

Double Count Out

Boa and Sikoa fight to the back and Sikoa hits Boa with a chair.


Backstage: AJ Styles

McKenzie Mitchell is with AJ Styles in the back. AJ says they were going at it and that is what he loves about NXT. It is infectious. The passion is what you get from everyone but Grayson Waller. AJ says Waller has nervous confidence. He has to step to the plate. This is his year. Georgia won the National Championship last night and I will ride that momentum to the Royal Rumble. It all starts with shutting Waller’s mouth.


Backstage: Solo Sikoa, Boa

We are back and Sikoa and Boa are still fighting int he back. Sikoa throws a chair at Boa and then sends him into trash cans. They fight to the View Askewniverse scaffolding. Sikoa sends Boa over a production case. Sikoa goes to grab Boa but a fireball is shot in Sikoa’s face.


We are told that Von Wagner’s fine has been paid and his suspension is lifted.


In-Ring: Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams make their way to the ring. Williams wants everyone to make noise for their North American Champion. Trick says he is happy for Melo because if Melo has gold, they both have gold. Hayes says they have some serious business to get to. Hayes says last week he had one of the toughest challenges of his career against one of the toughest opponents, Roderick Strong. With that being said, I want to take a moment of silence for Roderick’s Cruiserweight Title Reign. Now it is time to celebrate. Hayes says since he got the ball it is all first downs and touchdowns and he ain’t passing. He has more accomplishments than months in this company. Numbers don’t lie and Melo don’t miss. Hayes says he is a human cheat code. He says he is the most scintillating champion in NXT.

Hayes says because you can call it the Unified North American Championship and because it is around his waist, this is THE A Championship. You can step up to get stepped on and that is all it is and all it will be.


Outside: Cameron Grimes

We see Cameron Grimes outside with Carmelo’s keys. Cameron says in 2021, he would have been doing donuts in this Bentley. In 2022, he is coming for Hayes’ championship.

AJ Styles vs. Grayson Waller

They lock up and Styles with a clean break. They lock up and AJ with a side head lock. Waller with a reversal. Waller with a take down and Styles gets a near fall. Styles with a hammerlock and Waller escapes. AJ with a kick to the back of the leg and he connects with a forearm and chops. AJ with an elbow to the back of the head. AJ kicks Waller in the back of the leg. Styles with a back breaker. AJ sends Waller into the turnbuckles a few times. AJ with a slam and a knee drop. AJ gets a near fall. Waller with a punch but AJ with chops. Waller with a kick but Styles with a drop kick and Waller goes to the floor. AJ with a slingshot to the apron and Waller moves. Waller trips AJ on the apron. Waller with a neck breaker in the ropes.

Waller with a baseball slide into a clothesline on the floor. Waller returns to the ring to break the count and then he goes ot the floor to send AJ into the plexiglass. Waller sends AJ back into the ring and follows. Waller with punches to the ribs and elbows in the corner. Waller chokes AJ in the ropes. Waller with a cravate. AJ with punches but Waller sends AJ to the mat. Waller with forearms to the back. Waller returns to the cravate. AJ with punches to get out of the hold. Waller with a leg lariat. Styles with forearms and Waller with a punch. Waller misses a leg lariat and AJ with a boot. AJ gets off Waller’s shoulders. AJ with strikes and a clothesline. Styles with a sliding forearm.

Styles with a splash into the corner followed by a Ushigoroshi for a near fall. AJ sets for the Styles Clash but Waller gets to the ropes and Waller goes to the apron. Styles with a forearm to knock Waller to the floor. AJ with a slingshot forearm to the floor. AJ sets for the Phenomenal Forearm but Waller goes to the apron. Waller drops AJ On the top rope. Waller with a rolling elbow. Waller goes to the ropes for a springboard elbow drops and connects for a near fall. Waller waits for AJ to get up and Waller misses a splash into the corner. Waller blocks a German suplex and AJ with a Calf Crusher. Waller makes his way to the ropes to force a break.

AJ grabs the leg and AJ goes for an atomic drop to the leg but Waller with a sunset flip for a near fall. Waller with a sit out spinebuster for a near fall. Waller sets for a Styles Clash but AJ with a back body drop. AJ is sent to the apron but he connects with a forearm. Waller rolls to the floor to avoid a Phenomenal Forearm. Waller with a rolling cutter for a near fall. Waller puts AJ on the turnbuckles. Waller goes for a superplex but AJ drops under and pulls Waller into the turnbuckles. Waller misses a clothesline and AJ with a Pele Kick. AJ with a brainbuster. Styles goes to the apron for a Phenomenal Forearm and he hits it for the three count.

Winner: AJ Styles

After the match, AJ tells Waller that he is good but he is not phenomenal. It is not over yet. I want to introduce you to one of my friends.

LA Knight comes out. Knight punches Waller and clotheslines him when Waller runs into the ring to avoid Knight. Knight sends Waller over the announce table. Waller misses a clothesline and Knight with a clothesline and another one that sends Waller over the top rope to the floor.
