It appears that WWE is changing WALTER’s name… to “Gunther”…
After Walter defeated Roderick Strong in the main event of tonight’s NXT, the ring announcer started to announce him as the winner and Walter got on the mic and said, “Nein! The winner of this match… is Gunther!” He then threw down the mic as the crowd looked on quietly and confused.
The ring isn’t big enough to hold a brawl of this magnitude!! #Imperium #DiamondMine#WWENXT @WalterAUT @Marcel_B_WWE @FabianAichner @roderickstrong @JuliusCreedWWE @BrutusCreedwwe pic.twitter.com/FLEQUtLsY5

WWE filed a trademark for the name “Gunther Stark” on January 13. Unfortunately, Gunther Stark is also the name of a Nazi military commander in World War II. It seems like WWE may just use the first name “Gunther.”
Update: The name change is official on WWE.com.
