The Young Bucks vs. Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero

Tag-team action gets us started in the ring on this week’s show, as The Young Bucks and Rippongi Vice kick things off inside the squared circle.

After an elaborate ring entrance as promised heading into tonight’s show, we get the NJPW-style vibes straight out of the gate.

Both teams are in the ring and now it’s time for our first of four advertised bouts to get underway. The bell gets this one off-and-running.

Early on we see some back-and-forth action where the Bucks ultimately pull ahead into the offensive lead. They even mock “Giving the People what they Want” with a sarcastic Best Friends style hug.

The action picks up from there and then we see this match hit a new level of fast-paced, high-spot-filled, crowd-popping violence as Trent and Rocky Romero take over the offensive driver’s seat.

A big Avalanche Suplex is followed by a Strong Zero pin attempt from Trent to Jackson for a super close near fall. Shortly thereafter, we see a Meltzer Driver for a close near fall from the Bucks. Moments later a BTE Trigger on Romero finishes the job for Nick and Matt.

Winners: The Young Bucks

Once the match wraps up, we see Orange Cassidy do his wimpy “Sweet Shin Music” style spot on Brandon Cutler in the ring before decking him with a vicious Orange Punch.

From there, we see the numbers game play a factor as the Bucks treat the “Freshly Squeezed One” to a Super Kick Party until Trent Beretta runs the Bucks off. Former NJPW Grand Slam Champion Jay White then hits the ring and nails Beretta with the Blade Runner.

Face of the Revolution Qualifier Announcement

When we return from the break, we get a word from Ricky Starks, who announces a Face of the Revolution Qualifier between Dante Martin and Powerhouse Hobbs on Rampage Next Week.

Backstage: Bryan Danielson, Lee Moriarty

We shoot to a backstage interview segment featuring Bryan Danielson and Lee Moriarty.

After Danielson addresses Jon Moxley’s reaction to his offer to join forces and the Mox and CM Punk match coming up next week, we get a match announced featuring the “American Dragon” and Moriarty.

Danielson makes it clear he wants to see violence from Moriarty next week.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. vs. Robyn Renegade

The commentators focus on Jamie Hayter not being anywhere in sight for this match. Meanwhile, Baker jumps off to a lopsided offensive lead.

Renegade finally gets a moment or two to shine later in the contest, however it isn’t long before Baker ultimately finishes this one off with a curb stomp.

Winner: Dr. Britt Baker

After the bout wraps up, Rebel provides an assist to Baker as she adds insult to injury on Renegade until Thunder Rosa hits the ring and takes them both out.

The aforementioned Hayter finally does show up, as does Mercedes Martinez. They argue over who is gonna take Rosa out, which leads to her successfully escaping the cheap set-up attempt.

Video: Kris Statlander, Leyla Hirsch

We shoot to a quick vignette looking at the growing rivalry between Leyla Hirsch and Kris Statlander.

Hook vs. Blake Li

It’s time for arguably the fastest rising young star in AEW right now, as the sounds of Action Bronson fills the Boardwalk Hall and Hook makes his way down to the ring.

The commentators have some fun discussing Taz’s son and Ricky Starks’ fellow Team Taz stablemate with the two being half of the four-man booth calling the action tonight and every week on Rampage.

When this one is all said-and-done, it gets chalked up as another win for the promising prospect and another week his flawless win/loss record remains in tact thanks to his deadly “Redrum” submission finisher.

Winner: Hook

AEW World Tag Team Championship
Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus (c) vs. Gunn Club (Austin & Colten)

Se send it over to “The World’s Strongest Man” for our weekly pre-main event split-screen interview.

We hear and see the championship duo of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus verbally duke it out with challengers Colton and Austin Gunn, after Christian Cage and Billy Gunn trade some insults while strolling down memory lane.

The pre-match segment ends after Jungle Boy vows to get a rather unique chant going from the fans next week, and of course, after Mark Henry informs us that there has been enough talk — and that it is indeed time to get to our main event of the week.

Both teams make their respective ring walks, with the champs getting a sing-along routine from the fans as always, and the Billy Gunn-son-club getting the strong praise treatment from the commentators pointing out their impressive record and spot atop the AEW tag-team rankings.

This week’s championship main event is now underway, folks! We see some back-and-forth action straight out of the gate here and then head to a mid-match commercial break as the bout continues.

When we return from the break we see the Gunn Club enjoy some offensive success for a few minutes. Eventually Luchasaurus chokeslams one of them over the ringside barricade, and Jungle Boy avoids a Fame-Asser attempt by Austin, countering with a Killswitch for the victory.

With the win, Jurassic Express retain their AEW Tag-Team Championships and hand The Gunn Club an uncharacteristic loss to end this week’s show. The great main event this week ends things and that’s how this week’s show goes off-the-air.

Winners and STILL AEW World Tag Team Champions: Jurassic Express
