Former ROH Talent Quinn McKay Signs Deal with WWE, Debuts at NXT: Level Up Tapings

Former Ring of Honor backstage interviewer, commentator, and talent Quinn McKay reportedly recently signed a contract with WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer.

It was reported that McKay made her official debut for the company at this past Wednesday’s tapings for the debut episode of NXT: Level Up at WWE’s Performance Center. It was also reported that McKay will be going under the new ring name of Kelly Kincaid in the company.

Prior to her WWE signing, McKay had been with ROH from July of 2019 to December of 2021.

WWE Fires Longtime Spanish Announcer Carlos Cabrera

WWE reportedly fired their longtime Spanish announcer Carlos Cabrera this past Wednesday, according to Lucha Libre Online and PWInsider.

Lucha Libre Online’s Hugo Savinovich was the first to announce Cabrera’s firing, which was later confirmed by PWInsider from their sources within the company.

While the reason for Cabrera’s firing was initially not known, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that it was due to an age related decision by WWE officials who wanted someone younger for his commentary role.

Prior to his firing, Cabrera had been with the company as a member of their Spanish commentary team since 1993, first alongside with Savinovich from 1993 to 2011 and then with Marcelo Rodriguez afterwards.
