In-Ring: Pretty Deadly, Grizzled Young Veterans, Legado del Fantasma

We take a look back at last week’s Gauntlet for the Gold when Pretty Deadly won the Tag Titles. The NXT Men’s Tag Team Champions, Pretty Deadly make their way to the ring.

Elton says him and Kit made history as they won the Tag Titles. Kit says Pretty Deadly are used to having gold around their waists. They dominated in NXT UK as the champions, but that scene was too drab. They decided to come to the US and take their tag titles. Prince says it wasn’t that hard because they beat four teams in one night.

The Grizzled Young Veterans come out and Zack says he wants to know where was their invite to the gauntlet. Drake says they would have dismantled every meat bag, especially you two. Drake says the only reason you had an ounce of success in the UK was because we decided to leave. Gibson says the only reason you are the champions is that they were not involved. They are sick of being sent to the back of the line and they are long overdue for a chance and they are going to take it tonight.

Elektra Lopez comes out and says they aren’t the only ones looking for a title match. Legado del Fantasma and Grizzled Young Veterans battle in the ring until officials come out to try to separate them. They make their way to the back.


In-Ring: Bron Breakker, Joe Gacy

Bron Breakker makes his way to the ring. Bron tells Joe to come out with his dad’s Hall of Fame ring and he will show what he is willing to sacrifice.

Joe Gacy says he has what Bron is looking for. He says he is not a hard man to find so you just have to find him.

Bron makes his way to the back.


Video Promos: Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Santos Escobar

We take a look at comments from Carmelo Hayes over the weekend. He says he does not need a championship.

Santos Escobar responds and says how the mighty have fallen. The former ‘A’ Champion with a lot of excuses. You can call yourself a lot of things, but you cannot call yourself worthy. Escobar says he is another story. I can remind you of your place when it comes to the championship and it is the back of the line.

Trick Williams tells Carmelo that a lot of people are confused. Hayes says he will give Santos credit, but he is crazy to say that I need to get to the back of the line. Hayes says he is the line. Hayes tells Escobar he is the first stop on the getting back the gold tour.


Tiffany Stratton vs. Sarray

Stratton yells at Sarray and she kicks Sarray. Stratton with a wrist lock. Sarray with a take down and drop kick. Sarray avoids a clothesline and connects with a forearm. Stratton with a chop and Sarray with a rollup for a near fall. Sarray with a Mutoh Lock but Stratton gets to the ropes. Sarray goes for the drop kick against the ropes but Stratton moves. Stratton kicks Sarray and chokes her in the ropes. Stratton with a running hip against the ropes and she gets a near fall. Stratton with a forearm to the back and she applies a cobra clutch. Stratton with an Irish whip and shoulder into the corner. Stratton pulls Sarray to the mat by the hair. Stratton with a slingshot hesitation senton for a near fall.

Sarray with a forearm and Stratton slaps Sarray. Sarray with a drop kick and a German suplex. Sarray walks over Stratton and goes to the turnbuckles for a double stomp. Stratton grabs Sarray’s ankle and Sarray with a kick to the chest. Sarray with the drop kick against the ropes and Stratton falls to the floor. Sarray sends Stratton back into the ring. Sarray sets for a German suplex but Stratton holds on to the ropes. Stratton with an elbow and a twisting Vader Bomb for the three count.

Backstage: Bron Breakker

We see Gibson and Drake in the back and Bron Breakker walks through them. Bron hears a voice calling him but it is just the audio of Rick Steiner and the cage and the rest of the segment. Bron walks away and we go to commercial.


Backstage: Pretty Deadly, Indi Hartwell, Persia Pirotta, Dexter Lumis, Duke Hudson

We are back and Kit and Elton walk in the back and they admire the photos on the wall.

Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell stop them and they introduce themselves. Persia asks Elton and Kit for a match. Kit and Elton say they are up for the challenge.

They say they are not getting the match for themselves but for Dexter and Duke.


Backstage: Grayson Waller, Andre Chase, Bodhi Hayward, Sanga

Grayson Waller is in the back with McKenzie and he is asked about his match against Sanga. Waller says he had the plan set to be tag team champions and Sanga blew it.

Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward show up and it is time for a teachable moment. Chase quotes Benjamin Franklin but Sanga shows up.

Sanga walks intently after Waller and kicks Waller away.


Sanga vs. Grayson Waller

Waller with an elbow and the referee starts the match.

Sanga with a forearm and he biels Waller across the ring. Sanga with more biels to Waller. Sanga continues to toss Waller across the ring but Waller holds on to the ropes. Waller with a drop kick to the shin and a forearm to the back. Waller with punches but Sanga with a shoulder tackle. Sanga with a forearm to the back. Sanga with an Irish whip and Waller gets his boot up. Sanga with a side slam. Sanga slams Waller’s head into the mat. Sanga with an elbow drop but Waller gets his hand on the rope to stop the count. Sanga sets for a choke slam but Waller goes to the floor. Sanga follows and Waller kicks Sanga into the announce table.

Sanga grabs Waller for a choke slam but Waller sends Sanga into the ring post. Waller with the slingshot cutter for the three count.

We take a look back at what happened last week with Cora Jade and Natalya.

Cora says her heart stopped when she heard Natalya’s music. She says never meet your idols because they will disappoint you. She didn’t believe that until she met the real Nattie. She says Natalya is a future hall of famer, but she is dead ass wrong about her future being bleak. Nattie was a hero and a dream match. My dream is to kicks Nattie’s legendary ass.

Cora rips up the photo of her and Natalya and she steps on Natalya’s half and walks away.


Backstage: Roxanne Perez, Toxic Attraction

We have a video for Roxanne Perez about how she used to get the WWE video game and she makes her debut next week. Roxanne says it is surreal that she debuts next week. She says she has been waiting for this her whole life.

Toxic Attraction shows up and Mandy tells Roxanne the butterflies for being around them are expected. She tells Roxanne not to set her goals so high. Jacy suggests they move up the debut to tonight. Jacy says this isn’t a video game, it is the real deal. Roxanne says she will figure something out.


Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz del Toro) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans

Toro and Wilde with dives onto Drake and Gibson before the match.

Wilde and Toro with a double back elbow and Wilde is dropped onto Drake for a near fall. Drake with a side head lock and Gibson tags in and Wilde with a chop and he avoids Drake. Wild with a springboard drop kick to Drake and a wrist lock take down to Gibson. Wilde with a victory bomb for a near fall. Gibson gets a boot up to Wilde and a kick to Toro. Drake with a drop kick off Gibson’s back to knock Toro to the floor. Wilde with a sunset flip for a near fall on Gibson. Wilde with a boot to Gibson and a spinning face buster. Gibson trips Wilde but Wilde kicks Gibson. Cruz and Drake tag in and Cruz with a drop kick to Gibson on teh apron followed by a clothesline and drop kick to Drake.

Cruz sends Drake into the turnbuckles and then he puts Drake on the turnbuckles. Cruz goes for a superplex but Cruz goes to the apron. Cruz with a springboard Frankensteiner but Gibson make the blind tag and he punches Cruz. Gibson with forearms. Drake knocks Wilde off the apron and then they go for Ticket to Mayhem but Wilde with a springboard drop kick to Gibson and Cruz with a DDT to Drake. Wilde and Cruz with a side Russian leg sweep and flying boot for the three count.

Winners: Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde

After the match, Santos says after he is done with Carmelo Hayes, he tells Tony D’Angelo to watch how a leader handles business.


Backstage: Wes Lee, Xyon Quinn

McKenzie is with Wes Lee. Wes says the last few weeks have been chaotic and he feels lost.

Xyon Quinn shows up and he tells Wes the problem is that he doesn’t run straight. Wes says he doesn’t understand what that means and it isn’t time for a lecture. Quinn says it is time he taught him a lesson. Wes says he may have some doubts, but he is at home in the ring and maybe he can deal with some of that chaos.


Backstage: Briggs, Jensen & Fallon Henley, Legado del Fantasma

We see footage of Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen attacking Wilde, Cruz, and Lopez.


Santos Escobar vs. Carmelo Hayes

They lock up and Escobar backs Hayes into the ropes for a break. They lock up and Escobar with an arm bar. Hayes with a kick and front face lock. Escobar gets to the ropes and the referee wants them to break. Hayes pushes Escobar on the break. Hayes with a kick and side head lock. Hayes with a shoulder. Hayes with a side head lock and Escobar with a drop kick. Escobar with an Irish whip and Hayes sends Escobar to the apron. Escobar with a kick and a cross body.

Williams distracts Escobar and Hayes with a shoulder tackle. Hayes with a side head lock. Hayes flips over Escobar and hits a pump kick followed by a neck breaker. Escobar goes to the floor to regroup. Hayes goes after Escobar and kicks him in the chest and punches Escobar. Hayes with a chop. Hayes with a knee and he sends Escobar into the ring post. Escobar gets back in the ring and Hayes gets a near fall. Hayes with a reverse chin lock.

Hayes adds a body scissors. Hayes with a front face lock and back elbow. Hayes with an elbow drop for a near fall. Hayes with a sleeper. Hayes sends Escobar shoulder first into the turnbuckles a few times. Hayes goes into the ring post when Escobar moves. Escobar misses a kick and Escobar with a clothesline. Hayes with a jumping flatliner. Hayes with a double thrust to the throat and he goes for a springboard back heel kick but Escobar moves and hits a back breaker for a near fall. Hayes with a single leg crab.

Escobar gets to the ropes to force a break. Hayes with a front face lock. Escobar with an inside cradle for a near fall. Escobar with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Hayes with forearms to Escobar and then he kicks Escobar. Hayes with a front face lock. Escobar with a delayed brainbuster. Escobar and Hayes exchange forearms. Escobar backs Hayes into the corner and he chops Hayes. Escobar with a kick in the corner and then he punches Hayes from the turnbuckles. Hayes drops Escobar onto the turnbuckles. Escobar with clotheslines and he sends Hayes to the floor. Escobar with a suicide dive onto Hayes.

Williams tries to give Hayes a chair and the referee stops him and is distracted. Men in suits and hats show up at ringside and Escobar is hit with a crowbar and then he is sent back into the ring. Hayes with a Rocker Dropper for the three count.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

In-Ring: Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Cameron Grimes, Solo Sikoa

After the match, Hayes says his boy took out Solo last week so there is no one standing in his way. In two weeks, you will be looking at the two time North American Champion.

The current North American Champion Cameron Grimes comes out. He says Carmelo sounds confident now, but he was not confident enough last week to ask him for a match. Grimes says in two weeks, you’re on.

Solo Sikoa attacks Trick Williams and connects with a super kick. and then he hits a pop up Samoan drop on Hayes.

Sikoa and Grimes stare each other down. Sikoa walks past Grimes.


Segment: Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker continues his search for Joe Gacy and he walks into a room and wonders what is going on. He sees Gacy’s reflection in a mirror and he turns around but Gacy is not there.


Backstage: Malcolm Bivens, Roderick Strong

Malcolm is on the phone with Ivy Nile in the UK.

Strong says the last few months have been hard but it stops now. Strong says he is the leader and he is not going to let another group crumble before his eyes. He is going to make an example. If they don’t believe in our vision, they are an enemy of Diamond Mine.


Natalya vs. Tatum Paxley

They lock up and Natalya pushes Tatum down. Natalya with a side head lock and take down. Tatum with a rollup for a near fall. Paxley with a side head lock and take down. Natalya slaps Tatum and applies a wrist lock. Paxley with a reversal. Natalya with a reversal and arm bar. Natalya with a wrist lock and Tatum with an arm drag that sends Natalya to the floor. Paxley kicks Natalya and the referee hodls her back. Tatum chases Natalya to the floor. Natalya with a clothesline on the floor. Natalya sends Tatum back into the ring. Natalya gets a near fall. Natalya with a surfboard and she kicks Paxley to the mat. Natalya with an Irish whip but Paxley with an elbow and kick.

Paxley with a clothesline and back elbow. Paxley with a suplex. Paxley gets a near fall. Natalya moves and Paxley hits the turnbuckles face first. Natalya with a sharpshooter and Paxley taps out.

Parking Lot: Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo is asked in the parking lot about the attack on Santos Escobar and whether he had anything to do about it. Tony denies any involvement and he asks if it is Legado’s vehicle and he says it is nice.


Video Package: Nathan Frazer

We are back with a video package for Nathan Frazer. He says he lives above the ropes and the risk is worth the reward. NXT is his style.


Backstage: Indi Hartwell, Duke Hudson, Dexter Lumis, Persia Pirotta

Indi is in the locker room and he asks what size pants does Duke wear. Indi says they are a team so they need to dress alike. Duke says it is about the plan. Duke talks about strategy and Indi tells Duke Dexter doesn’t like what he is suggesting. Indi tells Duke to speak Dexter’s language. Duke mocks Dexter by staring at him and Indi yells at Duke.

Persia shows up and Duke storms off.


Wes Lee vs. Xyon Quinn

Lee with a drop kick into the corner and he kicks Quinn. Lee drop kicks Quinn to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Lee with a forearm to the back. Quinn with a back drop driver onto the apron. Quinn gets a near fall. Lee with a punch but Quinn with a forearm. Lee with more punches and a back heel kick. Lee bounces off Quinn and goes to the mat. Quinn punches Lee in the corner. Quinn with a head butt and a shoulder in the corner. Quinn gets Lee on his shoulders and Lee with elbows. Lee with an inside cradle for a near fall. Quinn sends Lee into the air and Lee lands face first on the mat. Lee with a thrust kick.

Lee with a chop and kicks to the leg. Lee with a drop kick. Lee goes for a springboard move but Quinn with a forearm. Quinn with a flying forearm for the three count.

Backstage: Natalya, Nikkita Lyons

Natalya walks in the back and McKenzie ambushes her to ask about Cora’s comments. Natalya says Cora likes to play the victim. Last week was not an attack. I was acting in self defense. Everyone goes from NXT to the main roster to come find her. Instead of waiting for Cora to come up to challenge her, she came to take care of Cora.

Nikkita Lyons shows up and she says after she takes care of Lash Legend next week, she is coming after Natalya. Natalya says when I have you in the sharpshooter you will know what to do. Nikkita says she is flexible.


Ikemen Jiro & Von Wagner Update

e are told that Ikemen Jiro will be out for a month due to the injuries suffered last week.

We are also told that Von Wagner has been fined and suspended.


Jacy Jayne vs. Roxanne Perez

They lock up and Jayne with forearms and chops. Perez with a chop and rollup for a near fall. Jayne with a take down and rollup for a near fall. Perez and Jayne alternate near falls. Jayne gets a near fall. Jayne with a leg sweep and Perez bridges up. Jayne with a forearm. Perez with arm drags but Jayne sends Perez to the mat. Perez with an arm drag and Jayne sends Perez into the turnbuckles. Jayne with a super kick.

Wendy Choo appears on the GameTron and she shows how she remodeled the Toxic Lounge.

Perez with a rollup and Code Red for the three count.

Parking Lot: Legado del Fantasma

Legado Del Fantasma are in the Most Dangerous Parking Lot and they see that a boot has been put on their tire and a dead fish has been put on their hood.


NXT Spring Breakin’ Match

At Spring Breakin’ in two weeks, Cameron Grimes will defend against Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes.


Segment: Joe Gacy

We see Joe Gacy watching the security cameras.


NXT Tag Team Championship
Pretty Deadly (c) vs. Dexter Lumis & Duke Hudson

Lumis and Prince start things off but Wilson makes the tag as Prince goes for the ankle. Wilson with a European uppercut and he chokes Dexter in the ropes. Wilson with a kick and punch. Wilson punches Dexter and tags in Prince. They hit a double shoulder tackle and do the YES BOY leg drop and splash combination for a near fall. Lumis with a punch to Prince followed by a reverse atomic drop. Prince avoids a belly-to-back suplex when Wilson helps out. WIlson comes off the turnbuckles and is met with a reverse atomic drop.

Hudson tags in and he punches Wilson. Hudson with a kick and he tags in Lumis. They set for a double suplex but Prince makes the save. They kick Duke and Lumis. Pretty Deadly pose with Indi and Persia on the floor but Dexter and Duke pull Prince and Wilson onto the apron. Lumis with a Thesz Press to Wilson followed by punches. Lumis and Hudson with a double suplex. Duke gives a thumbs up. Duke with punches to Wilson. Duke with a back elbow. Duke with a clothesline. Dexter tags in and he slides round the ring and to the floor to go after Wilson.

Prince tags in and he goes back to the apron so WIlson can attack Lumis from behind. Prince comes in and hits a European uppercut. Lumis with a forearm and he gets a near fall. Lumis with a reverse chin lock. Lumis with a front face lock and Hudson tags in and he punches Prince and then follows with an Irish whip and a side slam. Duke gets a near fall. Duke with a rear chin lock. Duke gets a near fall. Lumis tags in and Duke with a snap mare and Lumis with a kick. Lumis with cross faces to Prince. Lumis with a reverse chin lock. Prince with a jaw breaker and Lumis with a clothesline. Wilson pulls Prince out of the way when Lumis charges into the corner. Wilson and Prince attack Lumis in the corner.

Wilson with a neck breaker for a near fall. WIlson with a chin lock and Lumis backs WIlson into the turnbuckles but Wilson stops Lumis from making the tag. Lumis with an enzuigiri and Prince tags in. Duke tags in and he connects with a back elbow and a forearm. Hudson with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Prince followed by a power slam to WIlson. Duke with splashes and then he sends Wilson into Prince. Prince with an Irish whip and he runs into a back elbow. Hudson goes to the turnbuckles and he stops Wilson. Prince pulls Hudson off the turnbuckles and gets a near fall. Hudson with an elbow and then both men bump heads and Prince is down.

Wilson is sent to the floor by Hudson. Lumis is pulled off the apron by Wilson when Hudson is ready to make the tag. Lumis sends Wilson into the ring steps. Prince knocks Lumis off the apron. Hudson with a power slam for a near fall. Hudson with a forearm to knock Wilson off the apron. Prince with a running boot for the three count.

Winners: Elton Prince and Kit Wilson (retain championship)


Segment: Joe Gacy, Bron Breakker

Joe Gacy tells Bron Breakker that he is here and he is not a hard man to find.

Bron Breakker comes out and he goes to Joe Gacy on the top of the bleachers.

Gacy tells Breakker all he had to do was ask to get the ring back. He says he will give it back on one condition. Gacy wants a title match at Spring Breakin.

Gacy gives Breakker the ring and he tells Bron that now that he has his ring back and Gacy has his title match. He tells Bron he needs to take a leap of faith.

Gacy pushes Bron off the bleachers.

While Bron is down on the ground hooded men surround Breakker.
