WWE: Drew McIntyre on UK PPV Dream Goal, Mick Foley on Undertaker’s HoF Speech Omission, Booker T

Drew McIntyre Comments on His Dream Goal for WWE’s Clash at the Castle Event

Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Drew McIntyre. One of the topics discussed included McIntyre’s dream goal for WWE’s upcoming Clash at the Castle event this September in the United Kingdom.

“I’m a two-time WWE champion, but I never won the title in front of our fans. My dream situation is fighting for the title against Roman at the UK show. There is going to be such intense anticipation for that event. That would be a match, atmosphere-wise, that people would always remember.”

McIntyre also gave his thoughts about boxer Tyson Fury’s recent comments about being interested in facing off against him at the event.

“If Tyson Fury steps back into the WWE ring, it’s not going to be as easy as he thinks. He showed last time in his match against Braun that he’s capable. No doubt, he’s an entertainer. But if he steps into the ring against me, he’s in for something he’s never experienced before.”

Mick Foley Comments on Being Omitted from Undertaker’s Hall of Fame Speech

A recent episode of the In The Kliq podcast had Mick Foley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Foley’s thoughts on if he felt hurt by The Undertaker not mentioning him among the notable people who played an important role in his career during his Hall of Fame speech this past April.

“Well, listen, maybe I forgot to mention my wife during my speech. So I’m not one to lecture anybody about who they should and should not include in their speech. You know, I was not there in those formative years and his speech was more about friendship and support. We had a great rivalry, but he didn’t mention The Rock or Austin and he and Austin had some classics as well. So, if I’m not hurt, no one can be hurt on behalf of me.”

Foley also gave his thoughts about the late Leon White, known as Vader in wrestling, being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame.

“It meant a lot to me because I knew how much meant to him when he was alive and he has got a son who idolized his dad and yeah… So I always thought he was the most glaring omission and now he is his rightful place.”

Booker T Comments on Current Status of His WWE Contract & Career Future

Culture Map Houston held a recent interview with Booker T. One of the topics discussed included Booker T revealing that his current contract with WWE still has several years remaining on it.

“My relationship with the company has never been better. My contract with them isn’t up for another several years. I’m still around doing the kickoff shows for all the premium events on Peacock. I sometimes host RAW Talk and Talking Smack and WWE has me involved with several other projects.”

Booker T also gave his thoughts about the future of his wrestling career.

“I’ll never be done wrestling. I’ll be doing this until I can’t move my legs anymore. Wrestlers never retire. If I get a chance to bounce around the ring like a kid one more time, I’ll take that opportunity every time. I won’t be retired from the squared circle until I’m six feet under.”
