This past Monday’s episode of WWE RAW featured Edge introducing Finn Balor as the newest member of his Judgement Day stable. Following promos by Balor and Damian Priest, the group turned against Edge for being the last thing holding them back and kicked him out with a brutal attack.
Prior to his removal from the group, Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Edge had recently opposed plans by WWE officials for his Judgement Day group to add a “supernatural” element to it. These same sources stated that Edge’s opposition to WWE’s plans for the future direction of the group was likely the reason why WWE officials made the decision to remove him from the group. This decision reportedly was made on Monday afternoon prior to that night’s episode of RAW.
In regards to Balor, it was reported that WWE officials had plans in place for a heel turn for him and him joining Judgement Day prior to this past Sunday’s Hell in a Cell 2022 event. Those plans reportedly did not include Edge being kicked out of the group at the time.
In regards to Edge’s status going forward, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Edge has been moved over to the babyface side of RAW’s roster based on a recent internal roster list for the brand.
