AEW: Dax Harwood Suffers Injury, AEW Contracts Reportedly Include Injury Time Extensions, Josh Woods

Dax Harwood Suffers Torn Labrum Injury

Dax Harwood reportedly recently suffered a torn labrum injury, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that Harwood suffered the injury during FTR’s match against The Briscoes for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor 2022 event this past Saturday.

Following the event, Harwood stated on Twitter that he had a swollen eye, stiffness in his neck, and a bad shoulder “but you keep going. All for the love of the game.”

AEW Contracts Reportedly Similar to WWE Contracts Over Injury Time Extension

AEW contracts reportedly currently contain terms similar to WWE contracts in regards to injury time, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that the current terms of AEW contracts do allow the company the ability to extend them for time missed due to injury related reasons. AEW reportedly has already exercised this option to at least one contract so far.

Josh Woods AEW & ROH Status Update

This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen 2022 show featured the official Dynamite debut of former Ring of Honor talent Josh Woods. Woods made his surprise appearance standing over a fallen Keith Lee backstage following Swerve Strickland’s handicap match against Tony Nese and Mark Sterling.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Woods was seen in attendance backstage at ROH’s Death Before Dishonor 2022 event and last week’s Dynamite show. These same sources also stated that Woods is currently signed to a tiered contract with AEW.

It was also reported that not everyone who had appeared at ROH’s Death Before Dishonor 2022 event this past Saturday is currently signed with AEW and/or ROH either to a tiered contract or full-time deal and could still be free agents.
