TNT Championship
Wardlow (c) vs. Orange Cassidy

This is Wardlow’s first defense of the TNT Championship. Best Friends cut a promo as OC is coming to the ring and says Wardlow is big, so there is only one thing they can do; “cheat… a lot.” OC challenges Wardlow to a Test of Strength but when he reaches for his hand, OC puts his hands in his pockets. Wardlow pulls them out and then rips his pockets off. OC pulls Wardlow’s straps back up and then mocks his flex. Wardlow swings at OC but he ducks and then goes for the Satellite DDT but Wardlow blocks it and goes for the Powerbomb. OC escapes and hits a Spinning Headscissors but Wardlow cartwheels onto his feet to OC’s dismay.

OC complains about his eye and Chuck Taylor puts a chainsaw in the ring, but the referee catches him and kicks Best Friends out from ringside. OC sidesteps a charging Wardlow causing him to fall to the outside. OC goes for a Tope but Wardlow catches him and attempts a Powerbomb. OC escapes and tries to shove Wardlow into the ring post only for Wardlow to block it and chase Cassidy around the ring. Wardlow stops chasing him and then reaches under the ring and pulls Danhausen out. Danhausen starts to “curse” him but then stops and begs off allowing OC to hit the Orange Punch!

In the ring, OC goes for a second Orange Punch but Wardlow catches him and hits a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Cassidy rolls to the floor to get away.

OC ducks a charging Wardlow and slams him into the top turnbuckle repeatedly. Cassidy goes up top and goes for a Cross Body but Wardlow catches him and lifts him up to his shoulders. Cassidy escapes and takes out Wardlow’s knee with two Chop Blocks. Cassidy shoves Wardlow into the corner and tries a Beach Break but Wardlow blocks it into a Powerbomb attempt. Cassidy blocks it and counters into a DDT! Cassidy hits the Satellite DDT but only gets a one count!

Cassidy goes for the Orange Punch but Wardlow blocks it and hits the F10! 1…2…NO OC kicks out! Wardlow goes for the Powerbomb Symphony but OC fights it off with a Rana. Wardlow rolls to the outside and OC hits a Tope Suicida before throwing Wardlow into the ring post repeatedly. In the ring, OC goes for a Diving DDT but Wardlow catches him only for Cassidy to hit the Stun Dog millionaire and then an Orange Punch and Beach Break! 1…2…NO Wardlow kicks out! OC goes for the Orange Punch again but Wardlow catches him in midair with the Powerbomb for the pin.

Winner & STILL TNT Chaamp: Wardlow via pinfall (Powerbomb)

Wardlow picks OC up and gives him a fist bump.

In-Ring: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho comes to the ring and calls himself a “living legend and Eddie Kingston’s superior.” Jericho says everything Kingston does for friendship turns to mold and says that being friends with him and a curse. He says Ortiz’s head got shaved, Santana’s knee was taken out at Blood and Guts, Bryan Danielson was taken out and we don’t know when he is coming back and Ruby Soho got her arm demolished last week. Jericho says Ruby’s hand is hurt because she’s friends with Kingston. He says Kingston needs to take better care of his “chicks.”

Jericho says that Kingston is a mark for Onita and Terry Funk but he’s never even been in a Barbed Wire match. Jericho claims to have won the first Barbed Wire Match in Canadian history when he was 22 and even though the pain was unbearable he felt pleasure. He says he is just as sick and maniacal as Kingston is. Jericho says that Kingston will be facing the “Painmaker” next week. Jericho says this is it, this is the final fight and once he’s beaten Kingston he can go back to his mental issues and drugs to cover up that he will never be at Jericho’s level. Jericho says Kingston wants blood and he’ll get it.


Backstage: Eddie Kingston

In the back, Kingston tells Jericho to bring the most violent side of him he wants because it won’t matter. He says Jericho will pay with every ounce of his blood. He says he will hurt him and enjoy it!


World Title Eliminator Match
Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita

If Takeshita wins, he gets a future shot at the World Title. The two chain wrestle to start off and then it breaks down to an exchange shoulder blocks and slaps. Moxley takes Takeshita down with a headlock takeover but Takeshita comes back with a Leg Lariat. Takeshita and Moxley exchange chops until Moxley takes Takeshita down with a Lariat. Moxley spikes Takeshita with a Piledriver but he only gets a two count. Moxley puts Takeshita in an STF but he gets to the ropes to break the hold.

Moxley drags Takeshita onto the apron and attempts a Piledriver but he fights out of it and the two trade forearms and elbows. Takeshita German Suplexes Moxley on the apron! Takeshita attempts a Yakuza Kick but Moxley sidesteps him and kicks him in the head.

Takeshita is busted open and Moxley is going after the wound relentlessly. Takeshita fights back with elbows and hits the Leaping Takeshitaline! Takeshita hits a Yakuza Kick in the corner but eats a Running Elbow from Moxley. Moxley goes for a Suplex but Takeshita escapes and hits a Brainbuster! 1…2…NO Moxley kicks out! Takeshita goes for a Frog Splash off the top but Moxley got his knees up and rolls him up for two.

Moxley puts Takeshita in a Rear Naked Choke and then transitions into a Cross Armbreaker. Takeshita rolls Moxley over and into the ropes to break the hold. Moxley starts slapping Takeshita and then Takeshita shocks him with a Rana out of nowhere! Moxley rolls to the floor and Takeshita hits a Kenny Omega-style Somersault Plancha onto Moxley on the floor! Takeshita hits the Frog Splash in the ring and gets a VERY close nearfall!

Takeshita and Moxley trade elbows and then ram into each other with lariats at the same time. Takeshita swings and misses allowing Moxley to put him in a Sleeper only for Takeshita to counter into a Blue Thunder Bomb! Both mens’ legs are laying on top of each other and both almost get counted out. Takeshita goes for his Flying Knee but Moxley moves and hits the Paradigm Shift! Moxley hits a series of elbows and goes for the Death Rider but Takeshita escapes and hits a Bridging German Suplex! 1….2…NO Moxley kicks out! Takeshita goes for the Straightjacket German but Moxley headbutts him repeatedly and hits the Death Rider! Moxley hits more elbows and chokes him out with the Bulldog Choke for the win.

Winner: Moxley via submission (Bulldog Choke)


Promo: House of Black

Brody King cuts a promo on Darby Allin and briefly talks about their past together and says he will take what he deserves by taking from Allin.


Luchasaurus vs. Brian Pillman Jr.

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus come out as the Varsity Blonds are in the ring. Christian trashes them and says that Pillman fits in nicely with the hillbillies in Georgia. He says just like Jungle Boy, Pillman HAD a father. Christian says he was a legend in other people’s opinions but he was average at best, according to Christian. Christian says he still respects him but that he would be appalled that his final contribution to the business is Pillman Jr. Christian talks about Griff Garrison looking like Jungle Boy and sicks Luchasaurus on him.

Luchasaurus beats Garrison down and kicks his head into the ring post before hitting a pair of Chokeslams and then getting the win with the Tar Pit.

Winner: Luchasaurus via submission (Tar Pit)

Luchasaurus continues to beat the Blonds down and Chokeslams Garrison on top of Pillman on top of table only for it not to break. Luchasaurus Chokeslams Garrison on top of Pillman again to break the table.


Backstage: Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker

In the back, JAS talk about the Barbed Wire Match next week and the fact that the JAS members will be locked in a shark cage. JAS demands that PNP be locked in a cage, as well. Daniel Garcia mocks Wheeler Yuta and says he’ll take the Pure Title from him at Death Before Dishonor.

All Out is announced as taking place in Chicago at the Now Arena on Sept. 4.


Backstage: Hangman Page, John Silver & Alex Reynolds

In the back, Hangman is approached by the Dark Order and they want to team with Hangman against House of Black in a trios match.


Jake Hager vs. Claudio Castagnoli

These two were tag team partners in WWE and also feuded with one another in 2014. Claudio comes flying at Hager with a Flying Uppercut. He goes for the Giant Swing but Hager quickly gets to the ropes only for Claudio to hit a Big Boot knocking him to the floor. Claudio misses a clothesline and Hager takes him out with one of his own. Hager tosses Claudio in the ring and goes for a Hager Bomb but Claudio gets his boot up. Hager catches his boot and goes for the Ankle Lock but Claudio knocks him into the ropes and hits a 619 for a nearfall!

Claudio hits a series of body shots and uppercuts in the corner but Hager comes back with a series of corner clotheslines. Claudio avoids the last one and hits a series of uppercuts. Claudio dropkicks Hager’s leg and hits a Bulldog for two. Claudio slams Hager into the turnbuckles repeatedly and goes up top only for Hager to crotch him and then pulls him down into a Powerslam. Hager tosses Claudio across the ring and hits the Hager Bomb for two.

During the break, Claudio hit a Delayed Vertical Suplex. Hager hits a Shortarm Lariat but misses a second one allowing Claudio to hit a Springboard Corkscrew Uppercut. Claudio and Hager exchange punches until Claudio hits a series of uppercuts and a dropkick. Hager rolls to the floor but Claudio chases him and hits a Flying Uppercut on the outside. Castagnoli tosses Hager in the ring and hits a Flying Cross Body for two.

Claudio hits the Giant Swing and puts Hager in the Sharpshooter. Hager waves for someone to come out and help, which brings 2point0 out. Claudio chases them off but the distraction allows Hager to hit a Uranage Suplex! 1…2…NO Claudio kicks out! Hager goes for the Ankle Lock but Claudio kicks him into the corner and hits a Backdrop Driver. Claudio puts Hager back in the Sharpshooter but 2point0 distract him again. Claudio ducks a Lariat from Hager and hits the Pop-Up Uppercut and the Ricola Bomb for the pin!

Winner: Castagnoli via pinfall (Ricola Bomb)


Backstage: Hook

In the back, Lexy Nair tries to interview HOOK and asks if a title shot in his future but he just shakes his head at her and walks away.


Backstage: Thunder Rosa, Toni Storm, Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter

Footage of Thunder Rosa’s loss to Miyu Yamashita in Japan is shown. Yamashita will get a shot at the AEW Women’s Title.

Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter interrupt a Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm backstage promo and Baker says she tried to give everyone else some space but AEW is a disaster without her. She mocks Rosa and Storm for their team name and Hayter says they are very well versed in how you handle a “thunder storm.” Baker hands Tony a sandbag and tells him to try and carry her for a month. That sandbag was likely a triple entendre as Rosa was accused of sandbagging a few weeks back.


Serena Deeb vs. Anna Jay

Jay’s family are sitting at ringside as she is from Savannah, GA. Deeb and Jay mat wrestle early on and Jay hits a Flatliner and a Flying Neckbreaker. She charges at Deeb in the corner but Deeb escapes and rolls her up and into a wild submission. Jay rolls Deeb over into a nearfall and then she goes for the Queen Slayer but Deeb gets to the ropes. Deeb hits a Jawbreaker onto the ropes followed up with a Spinning Neckbreaker for two.

Deeb hits a series of back elbows and a Flying Forearm. Jay hits a Flying Heel Kick in the corner and a Northern Lights Suplex for two. Jay puts Deeb in the Queen Slayer but Deeb escapes through her legs and rolls her up for two. Deeb goes for a Backslide and they counter each other repeatedly until Deeb goes for the Piledriver. Jay backdrops Jay for two but Deeb rolls her up and locks her in another wild submission where she’s literally sitting on the back of Jay’s head, while stretching her arms.

Jay rolls backwards into a nearfall and then hits a Back Heel Kick. Jay charges at Deeb but Deeb moves and hangs her leg up in the ropes with a Dragon Screw Legwhip. She goes for another submission but Jay counters into the Queen Slayer! Deeb gets back to her feet and counters with an Armdrag and locks in the Serenity Lock for the win.

Winner: Deeb via submission (Serenity Lock)

Deeb refuses to let go of the hold until Mercedes Martinez runs out and attacks Deeb.


Backstage: Jade Cargill, The Baddies

Jade Cargill and Kiera Hogan talk shit about Leila Gray and Stokely Hathaway tries to sooth things over. Hogan says that Gray will never be a Baddie.


Backstage: Anna Jay, Tay Conti

In the back, Tay Conti taunts Anna Jay and says she needs to make better choices for her career.


Commentary Table: Jay Lethal

Jay Lethal comes to the commentary table and cuts a promo on Samoa Joe ahead of their ROH TV title match at the ROH PPV.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Three Way Match
The Young Bucks (c) vs. Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland

Keith Lee and Matt Jackson start things off and when Jackson goes for a Superkick, Lee sidesteps him and goes for a Spinning Heel Kick that freaks out Matt. Nick and Swerve tag in and exchange some beautiful fast-paced offense and counters. In a ridiculous sequence, Swerve charges at Nick but Nick backflips to the outside and Swerve flips over the top at the same exact time with both men landing on their feet. They both then go for dropkicks at the same time.

In the ring, Rick Starks tags Swerve and then he and Nick both walk the ropes at the same time and slap each other causing them to be crotched on the top. Matt tags in and hits the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplexes on Starks with Swerve eating one on the last one, as well. Lee tags in and Matt tries to Suplex him to no avail. Hobbs and Lee Double Suplex Matt and then start getting in each other’s faces. Lee slams Nick and Starks into each other and then he and Swerve work over Matt in their corner.

Swerve goes up top but Matt shoves Lee into Swerve and then dropkicks Lee to the outside. He goes for a Superkick but Starks blind tags him and Team Taz hits a Hip Toss Backbreaker. Hobbs hangs Swerve up in the corner and then throws him into a dropkick from Starks.

The Bucks hit a Double Hip Toss but he nips back up to his feet and hits a Double Dropkick on the Bucks. Lee and Starks both tag in and Lee just starts running everyone over. Lee sandwiches the Bucks into Starks and then throws Starks at them. Everyone rolls to the outside and Lee sets up for a dive but Team Taz pull him out. The Bucks then hit dives onto Team Taz but Lee catches Nick and Powerbombs him onto Matt! Lee goes for a Pop-Up Powerbomb on Nick but he escapes and Hobbs tags Nick.

Hobbs and Lee exchange meaty slaps and then run into each other with cross body blocks at the same time. Lee lifts Hobbs up to the top and goes for a Superplex but Hobbs headbutts him knocking him to the mat. Hobbs hits the damnest Frog Splash you will ever see! 1…2…NO Lee kicks out! Starks and Nick tag in and the offense speeds up again. Hobbs and Starks hit an Electric Chair/Diving Cutter combo for a nearfall.

Starks misses the Spear and both Matt and Swerve tag in. Swerve hits a Half Nelson Backbreaker and a Lariat followed by a Half Nelson attempt but Matt counters and misses a Superkick only for Nick to connect! The Bucks throw a Superkick Party for Lee but he gets right back up, so Starks comes in and they all throw a Superkick Party. The Bucks then Superkick Party Starks. Hobbs charges at them but they move and Hobbs hits the referee.

The Bucks hit a Superkick Party on Hobbs knocking him into the referee again and the Bucks take the tag titles in the ring. Matt goes to hit Starks with a belt but he Superkicks him! Starks goes to hit Matt with it but walks into a Pump Kick from Swerve! Swerve picks up the belt but looks over at his partner and throws it down and walks into a low blow from Matt. Matt hits everyone with the belt and Nick wakes up the referee, 1…2…NO Swerve kicks out!

The Bucks hit the BTE Trigger on Swerve! 1…2…NO Starks kicks out! The Bucks throw Starks to the outside and then go for the Meltzer Driver on Swerve but Lee intercepts him and they hit a Roaring Elbow/Enziguri combo! They hit Swerve In Our Glory on Nick! 1…2…NO Starks breaks it up! Hobbs Spinebusts everybody! He Spinebusts the Bucks on top of Lee!

Swerve and Starks tag in and Swerve goes for the Swerve Stomp but Starks rolls him up for two and goes for Roshambo. Swerve escapes and Starks Spears the hell out of him! 1…2…NO Nick breaks it up! Lee pulls off Matt’s shoe and hits him with it. Cutler distracts the referee and Lee Suplexes Hobbs over the top. Swerve Moonsaults off Lee’s chest onto the Bucks and Hobbs on the floor! Starks goes for a dive but eats the Pounce from Lee! Lee hits a Somersault Plancha onto the pile on the floor! Swerve hits the Swerve Stomp on Starks! 1…2…3! NEW CHAMPS!

Winners & NEW Tag Champs: Swerve In Our Glory via pinfall (Swerve Stomp)
