Paul “Triple H” Levesque has been officially named the head of WWE creative, following the retirement of Vince McMahon on Friday.
WWE announced the move today, simply saying, “WWE executive Paul Levesque will assume all responsibilities related to WWE’s creative, in addition to his regular duties.”
According to Dave Meltzer, Triple H will assume the “Vince McMahon role” and have final say in creative. The current system will “remain in place,” Meltzer says, with a writing team led by Bruce Prichard, with Prichard reporting to Triple H.
Triple H was also named head of Talent Relations on Friday.
WWE’s stock is up over 7.5% today at the time of this report. Analysts pointed to the higher likelihood that WWE could be eventually sold now that Vince McMahon is out.
