Impact Wrestling Reportedly Rejected Lady Frost Release Request

As noted before, Lady Frost requested her release from Impact Wrestling this past June.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Impact officials recently rejected her request and also currently do not have any creative plans for her. It was reported that Frost has not been paid since her release request due to her current contract is a per date type deal and not a full-time type deal. This contract reportedly is exclusive to Impact and only allows her to work outside bookings approved by the company.

It was also reported that the source of Frost’s issues with Impact revolve around a medical procedure earlier this year, which she had informed Impact officials would required her to be sidelined for some time. Despite her medical issue at the time, Impact officials had booked her for their Dallas tapings this past April without providing her hotel and flight accommodations, which meant that the costs came out of her pocket.

It was also reported that there was other unpaid expenses that Frost had to cover during her time working in the company which led to Frost’s decision to want to be released. This included blood work testing, having to pay for meals beyond only one provided by the company during long days of tapings, and other travel-related costs. This reportedly led Frost to believe she was not respected in the company and the money she was earning after expenses was not enough to want to continue her career there.

Frost reportedly was informed by Imapct officials that she could sit out the remaining two years of her contract but this would result in her not being paid during that whole time.

In regards to Impact’s side of the situation, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within Impact deny that her contract with the company is exclusive but it does contain terms not allowing her to wrestle for any other promotion with television shows. Those same sources also stated that the reason the company booked her for their Dallas event in April was due to she had already scheduled bookings for indies event that week and they decided to also book her for their show at the time.

Johnson reported that Impact officials also left the door open for Frost to return following her medical situation but it would require them to change the plans they had for her at the time. Impact officials also reportedly were willing to grant Frost her release on the condition that she put over Masha Slamovich as part of their big plans for Slamovich. Johnson also reported that his sources stated that following Impact’s request, this was when Frost became public with her release request and dropped all contact with the company.
