As noted before, Bobby Fish’s contract with AEW expired at the end of this past July and he is currently a free agent.
Following his departure, Fish stated in a recent episode of his Undisputed podcast show that he was not happy over not getting to wrestle more often during his time in AEW. Fish also praised Paul “Triple H” Levesque for his work in WWE.
In regards to Fish’s expired contract, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that AEW officials and Fish were unable to come to an agreement in time for a potential new deal. These same sources also stated that AEW has left the door open for Fish to potentially return to the company in the future.
In regards to the Undisputed Era’s AEW contract lengths, Meltzer reported that while Fish’s original contract was only for one year in length, both Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly are currently signed to five year deals with AEW.
