As noted before, Becky Lynch has been out of action for WWE since this past July due to a shoulder injury.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the recent rumors and reports of Lynch being ahead of schedule for her rehab are not true. These rumors had hinted that Lynch would make her return by the end of this past September, which did not happen in the end. Those spoken to within WWE stated that WWE officials did not hold any recent talks regarding potential return plans for Lynch nor was she ever slated for a September return.
It was reported that following her injury at this past July’s SummerSlam 2022 event, WWE officials had originally hoped that Lynch would be able to avoid surgery and would return after a few months of rehab. It was also reported that despite Lynch being in attendance backstage at last week’s RAW show, WWE officials had been under the belief since early September that she would not be making her return any time soon.
Those spoken to with WWE Creative stated that they were hopeful of Lynch returning by the end of the year but did not guarantee that it would happen and instead they were being more optimistic in the hope that she would not need to undergo surgery.
