Following CM Punk’s All Out media scrum comments and the backstage brawl with the Elite, an unhappy Chris Jericho reportedly approached CM Punk and told him that he was a “cancer to the locker room and a detriment to the company,” according to Fightful Select.
Sources told Fightful that they didn’t remember CM Punk’s exact response, but he essentially told Jericho that it wasn’t his business.
Fightful says that the interaction happened shortly before Jericho came on to speak at the All Out media scrum.
Sources close to Punk also confirmed that it happened.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reported that Jericho was among many top AEW wrestlers who said that they no longer wanted to work with Punk.
