The Rock Comments on Potential WrestleMania Match with Roman Reigns

Chris Van Vliet held a recent interview with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. One of the topics discussed included Johnson’s thoughts about if he acknowledges Roman Reigns as his “Tribal Chief” and praised both Reigns and The Bloodline for their big success in WWE.

“Of course I do! That’s my family. I think those guys are doing a great job and I think — what an interesting shift that the company has gone through this year, unexpected in many ways. But when unexpectations happen in that kind of way, form, and fashion, especially in that business, you’ve got to have the ability and the agility to pivot, which they have. So with Roman, I think he’s doing a pretty good job and the boys, too, The Usos as well.”

In a separate interview with E! News’ The Rundown show, Johnson also gave his thoughts about the rumors of him facing off against Roman Reigns in a match at next year’s WrestleMania 39 event.

“I am not confirming that at all. No. No, I am not. I know I’m going to get a text from him after he watches this.”

Johnson also gave his thoughts about if he is interested in the idea of winning the WWE Championship again at a WrestleMania event in the future.

“I love the idea of a WrestleMania. I’m close to a lot of people there, but I’m very close to one in particular, who we’ve talked about this. There are so many variables that come into play. I’m a fan because I’m a promoter at heart. I’m a fan of promoting an event and what could that be. I love WrestleMania and I love that word.”

Daniel Cormier Comments on Interest in Working Again for WWE

The Associated Press held a recent interview with former MMA fighter Daniel Cormier. One of the topics discussed included Cormier’s thoughts on his interest in future appearances for WWE and potential match against Brock Lesnar.

“I’ve been retired for a couple of years and I look like it. But I’d have to get in shape if I ever want to do something like that. The door is not closed on anything right now in my life …

I’m still at an age where there are some opportunities, but those opportunities need to start now if they’re going to be something I pursue.”

In a recent episode of the DC & RC show, co-host Cormier also gave his thoughts about his recent debut for WWE and working as a special guest referee for the Fight Pit match at this past Saturday’s Extreme Rules 2022 event.

“I was in the back and I was nervous. Obviously, you know the outcome, but I started forgetting the match. ‘Oh my goodness, I forgot the end.’ I kept having to ask questions. I was so nervous. Once I walked out there, it was so fun. The energy of the crowd is second to none. I fought in front of bigger crowds than I was in front of last weekend, but it’s a shoot. I’m going to just fight and it’s going to be what it’s going to be. To remember all the points of what you’re supposed to do in the match, it was amazing. I got fans heckling me, they’re calling me Carl Winslow. They’re messing with me. They said, ‘DC, climb up the cage.’ I’m standing at the bottom, I’m not going up there with these dudes. They are up there wrestling on that little ledge. When Riddle jumped off the top, I couldn’t believe that I was actually in that moment. Then Bray Wyatt returned. We were the closer to a massive moment. My favorite part was, I got to essentially be Herb Dean. I got a little physical, I threw Riddle down, I hemmed up Rollins with the ol’ cop arm. I was having the time of my life.”
