WWE reportedly brought in Brian Kendrick for a backstage producer tryout at Saturday’s Survivor Series WarGames event in Boston, Massachusetts, according to Fightful Select and PWInsider.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Kendrick and Jason Jordan worked as the producers for the Women’s WarGames match. Kendrick and Jordan reportedly were also the producers for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Shotzi and champion Ronda Rousey.
PWInsider’s Dave Scherer reported that his sources stated that Kenrdick was only brought in for a tryout at the event and he has not been officially hired back to the company as of the time of his report.
Prior to WWE bringing him back for a producer tryout, Kendrick had been involved in a controversy this past February over several past controversial statements made by him regarding the Holocaust and other conspiracy theories being made public at the time. This resulted in Kendrick’s scheduled booking with AEW at the time being pulled as a result and AEW dropping all plans to use him in the company.
