As noted before, Lady Frost requested her release from Impact Wrestling this past June, which was rejected by the company over unresolved issues between the two sides.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Impact officials had granted Lady Frost her release from the company this past October. Those spoken to reportedly stated that her release had been granted prior to Impact’s most recent set of television tapings. Several people within the company reportedly had pushed for the company to make the move since they felt it did not seem productive to keep her under contract.
Lady Frost reportedly had directly contacted Anthem President and CEO Leonard Asper and followed up regularly in her attempt to be granted her release.
In regards to her recent work for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, it was reported that their sources confirmed that this was due to Frost no longer being under contract with Impact and instead was working as a free agent. CMLL officials reportedly were happy with Frost’s work in the company and are currently planning on using her again in the future.
