Kevin Owens reportedly recently suffered a MCL injury, according to PWInsider and the Wrestling Observer.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Owens suffered a knee injury during his match against Austin Theory at a WWE house show event this past Sunday in Madison, Wisconsin. Owens reportedly suffered the injury following a Stunner spot to Theory resulting in him tweaking his knee but he was able to finish the match. Following the match Owens was assisted to the back for medical treatment. The exact nature of Owens’ injury was not known at the time of Johnson’s report.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that his sources confirmed that Owens did suffer an injury and provided more details over the nature of his injury. Those sources reportedly stated that Owens had suffered a MCL sprain injury and WWE officials are currently hopeful that his injury is not more serious than believed.
