WWE Reportedly Planning Becky Lynch to be Final Member of Women’s WarGames Match

As noted before, Becky Lynch has been out of action for WWE since this past July due to a shoulder injury.

Several people spoken to in WWE’s new leadership regime reportedly stated that they are excited to work with Lynch without her being under the auspices of Vince McMahon’s booking control.

WWE Announces Royal Rumble 2023 Broke All-Time Royal Rumble Gate Record

WWE recently announced that the current ticket sales for next year’s Royal Rumble event in San Antonio, Texas recently broke the all-time record for largest ever gate revenue for a Royal Rumble event in Royal Rumble history. It was announced that next year’s event has already surpassed the milestone of $5 million for its gate.

Official press release:

WWE Royal Rumble 2023 – slated for Saturday, January 28 – has broken the company’s record for the largest gate in the event’s 36-year history.

Over the weekend, Royal Rumble surpassed the $5M mark and previous record holder from 2017 – the last time the event was held at San Antonio’s AlamoDome.

This carries a 2022 trend into 2023 where WWE set gate records for many of its events, including WrestleMania, Extreme Rules and Crown Jewel.

In regards to ticket sales, WrestleTix reported that 30,361 tickets have been distributed for the event as of this past Friday.

Mia Yim Given New Ring Name Change

Mia Yim made her official return to WWE earlier this month following the expiration of her contract with Impact Wrestling. During the November 7th RAW show, AJ Styles revealed Yim as the newest member of his O.C. group and as an equalizer to Judgement Day’s Rhea Ripley as part of the on-going feud between the two groups. In recent weeks, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been calling Yim as “Michin” which is their nickname for her.

WWE recently updated their official roster page revealing that Yim will now be going under the new ring name of Michin going forward in the company. Despite the new ring name change, RAW’s commentary team kept referring to Yim as both Mia Yim and Michin during her appearance on Monday’s RAW show.

In an interesting note, Michin means “crazy” in Korean.
