AEW: Ethan Page on Signing New AEW Deal, Saraya on Women’s Tag Titles, Griff Garrison Underwent Surgery

Ethan Page Comments on Signing New Deal with AEW

Fightful held a recent interview with Ethan Page. One of the topics discussed included Page’s thoughts on signing a new deal with AEW this past March to remain in the company for the foreseeable future.

“Yeah, they’re going good. I couldn’t be happier with AEW. Especially on-screen recently. To have the run through that entire tournament, it was like a ‘We’re going to give this guy the ball’ moment for me. It was nice to actually to be able to, what I feel, do something with it.”

Page also gave his thoughts about his initial signing with AEW during the COVID-19 pandemic and the level of creative freedom given to AEW talents.

“Yeah and it was scary. I was very nervous. It was during the pandemic so [there was] so much uncertainty. It all worked out in the end and now we’re almost two years in and I couldn’t be happier. I know I made the right choice. I think sky’s the limit, too. The freedoms that they give us as performers to kind of create our own characters and presence and style and the fact that I can differentiate myself from everyone else on the show and no one is telling me, ‘No, no, be more like this guy,’ or ‘Do it more like this.’ It’s very much, ‘Whatever Ethan Page brings to the table, is what he brings to the table. If it’s good, we’re gonna put it on TV and if it’s not, we won’t.”

Saraya Comments on Potential of Women’s Tag Team Championship in AEW in the Future

Forbes held a recent interview with Saraya. One of the topics discussed included Saraya’s thoughts on the potential of a Women’s Tag Team division and Women’s Tag Team Championship in AEW in the future.

“I’m always for an all-women’s show, for sure. I feel like there could be a tag division we could get going as well. Like [women’s] tag team championships. I don’t think we should load wrestling with a ton of championships, but there is space for a women’s tag division, too. There are a lot of women we have backstage that are not on the show, and that could give them an opportunity to be on the show. There is always so much we could do with the women, and people don’t realize how much talent we have backstage.”
