This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash 2022 show in San Antonio, Texas featured the main event of the AEW Women’s World Championship match between Hikaru Shida and champion Jamie Hayter, which was won by Hayter.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the backstage reaction to the match was unanimous positive and the same for Hayter’s current reign as champion. It was also reported that Hayter, Britt Baker, and Rebel have been getting praise for seamlessly transitioning into the spots they are currently in as a group.
BJ Whitmer reportedly was the producer of the match and had also been the producer of the Hayter vs. Toni Storm match for the title at AEW’s Full Gear 2022 event this past November. Whitmer reportedly has been getting constant praise for his work with AEW’s Women’s division since taking on the role.
